Project Setup and Export.

You should by now have some idea about sample rates and bit depths. Understanding
this is very important when you want to record sounds from different sources, export
files and burn CDs. Only a few years ago, the CD standard of 44100Hz sample rate
and 16bits was the norm. Now you can go up to 192Khz (192,000Hz) and 24bits. For
the most part you will remain working at CD standard (especially as most of your
work will be presented on CD audio).

Course / Level Sample Rate / Bit depth

MUS109 / Level I 44.1Khz/16bit
MUS355 CAMT 44.1Khz/16bit
MUS370 Sound Recording 48.0Khz/24bit
MUS302/333 composition Your choice

start editing sound to video in Cubase.

This shows a sample rate of 48Khz and

a bit depths of 24bits. This is DVDA
standard and also the standard used in
the Sound Recording module.
Exporting your mixdown.
You need to set your left and right locators to encapsulate the area you wish to export.
If you do not, Cubase will export the complete project.
