Instructions for the Terraloc Pro SW Upgrade package:

Please read the entire instruction before starting

1. Extract the ZIP file and copy the folder Terraloc Pro SW Upgrade to a USB memory stick

2. Connect the office power supply AND a charged internal battery

3. Connect a mouse and keyboard to the Terraloc Pro via USB

4. Power on Terraloc Pro and let SeisTW start

5. Wait appr. 1 minute

6. Press Shift and HLP on the Terraloc Pro keyboard, or use the mouse and
select Help -> About

7. Check that all boards and channels are initialized


The following text should be seen in the About window:
For a 12 channel instrument: 2 boards, 12 measurement channels + 2 reference channels
For a 24 channel instrument: 3 boards, 24 measurement channels + 2 reference channels
For a 48 channel instrument: 5 boards, 48 measurement channels + 2 reference channels

8. If all boards and channels are initialized, close the About window and exit SeisTW

9. Copy the folder Terraloc Pro SW Upgrade from the USB memory stick to the Terraloc Pro
desktop

10. Open the Terraloc Pro SW Upgrade folder and browse to the sub folder 1_FPGA_update

11. Start the application FPGAflashutility by double clicking it

12. This screen will be shown

Press Enter on the keyboard


13. A process to upgrade the FPGA software on the internal boards will now begin. It can take up to
an hour to complete this

14. When the FPGA software upgrade is finished a text Program is finished, press enter to exit will
be displayed in the bottom row of the window

15. Press Enter

16. On the keyboard press Ctrl + Shift + Esc at the same time

17. The Windows Task Manager will open

18. Scroll down the list of process until OpenTFTServerMT is found. Select it and press End Process

19. Confirm to end the process by pressing End process

20. Open the Terraloc Pro SW Upgrade folder and browse to the sub folder 2_SeisTW

21. Start the upgrade of SeisTW by double clicking the file SetupSeisTW-2.3.2.2485.exe
22. Press Next >

23. Check all boxes and press Next >


24. Enter the serial number and number of channels for your instrument

The serial number is written on the serial number plate on the power panel (left side) of the
instrument. On the serial number plate it is also written the instruments number of channels.

Please note that it is the number of measurement channels plus the two reference channels that
is to be entered. So for a
12 channel instrument, select 14
24 channel instrument , select 26
36 channel instrument, select 38
48 channel instrument, select 50

Then press Install

25. The installation process will start


26. When finished it will say Completed in the log window. Then press Next >

27. Press Finish

28. Do NOT restart the system. Press No

29. Open the Terraloc Pro SW Upgrade folder and browse to the sub folder 3_RegisterFix

30. Double click the file 3_RegisterFix.reg


31. A warning message will be displayed

32. Press Yes

33. The process is finished when this message is shown. Press OK

34. To complete the Terraloc Pro software upgrade the Terraloc Pro is to be completely powered
off.

Please note that this does not only mean shutting down the Terraloc Pro. The office power
supply (or any other external power source) AND the internal battery must be disconnected.

35. The internal battery and/or external power source can now be connected and the instrument
powered on.
