In conclusion, when looking at the data given for qualitative data which is WHAT (what
people do if they are active) it is noticeable that there are two common types the first is none
which is no physical activity and the second is cardio. Meaning a majority of the people
surveyed did nothing or participated in an activity involving cardio. When looking at the
quantitative data I originally expected there to be a somewhat strong correlation with the amount
of days in a week (DAYS) being the explanatory value and the weight in pounds (WEIGHT) in a
sense that as the DAYS increase the WEIGHT will decrease. Although when analyzing the data,
it is showing that there is a very little correlation and when looking at the line of best fit it seems
as if as the DAYS increase the WEIGHT increases slowly. When examining the equation of the
linear regression line (y=2.4903920061491x+167.36664101535) the slope is 2.4903920061491
which means that there is a positive increase as opposed to my original thought which was that
the slope would be negative. The Y-intercept is interpreted as meaning on average when a person
does not work out the weigh about 167.37lbs. If I were to do this project again I would attempt to
test something that is a large topic that many people focus on with the current project many
people are turning to physical fitness as a way to lose weight and with this project it shows that
the increasing the amount of days you work out may cause an increase in weight so some may
not understand that you gain muscle when working out which in the end could cause an increase
in weight.
