Meet Your Teaching Assistant

Joel Darling is a multi-instrumentalist, engineer, producer and music technologist from


the state of Virginia.

Joel attended Berklee from 2007 to 2010 and received a B.M. with a double-major in
Music Product & Engineering and Electronic Production & Design. While at Berklee, Joel
focused on sound design and production and has since completed several projects
ranging from sound for movies, mixing, producing, and releasing a few EPs of his own
work.

Since Berklee, Joel has worked in the music technology industry in various roles at
companies such as MOTU and iZotope and currently resides in NYC.

Joel writes music with producer Ieva Berberian under the name Startank. Other
projects include producing and EP and playing surf rock with the band Sputnik & The
Cosmonauts. Current work and projects can be found on Joel's website.
