P.T. SWARNA BAJA PACIFIC
SPIRAL
WELDED
STEEL PIPESSince its founding in 1989, PT Swarna Baja-
pacific (SBP) has distinguished itself as one of
the few spiral welded pipe producers with an
annual production capacity exceeding 90.000
MT.
To cope with increasing demand nationwide,
PT Swarna Bajapacific produces large quanti-
ties of high strength pipes that are used for
various purpose including water-works, irriga-
tion, the transmission and supply of industrial
water, and the transmission of various kinds
of fluids.
The company’s facilities today include spiral
pipes mills and corrosion protection facilities
in the form coal tar-epoxy coating which can
produce pipes of 8"O.D. through 120°O.D.
according to the specification of all major
international standards such as BSS, JIS, DIN,
ASTM, and all others.
Swarna’s Spiral Welded Pipe are used for the
following applications
- Piling
- Casing and Tubing
= Liquid delivery
- Storage Tanks
- Bridge Foundation
+ Jetty Foundation
- Offshare Terminal Construction
This booklet is intended to give you general;
information on Swarna Spiral welded pipes
and to help you select and specify the proper
pipes for your use.

Modern equipment can apply corrosion protection in the form of coaltar epoxy.High Quality
Swarna’s only uses quality material manufactured through an integrated process under
rigid quality control and inspection from material to finished pipe. Also, internal and
external submerged arc welding method manufactured by Lincoln Electric are
employed. Therefore, the weld will be for spiral butt weld joint, flawless, with no burning
atall.
Higher Safety
10% more safety compared with longitudinally welded pipes. Brust and explosion test
show that due to the helically wound seam and the high toughness properties in the
circumferential directions — the spiral welded pipe has an inherently higher safety
margin against crack propagation.
High Dimensional Accuracy
The Swarna Bajapacific 3-roller-forming system and the continous welding-gap control
produces pipes with a constant diameter, roundness and straightness within extreme
close tolerances over the whole pipe length.ae

ADVANTAGES OF STEEL PIPE PILES
I. Large Bearing Capacity
Steel Pipe Piles can be driven firmly into the solid bearing stratum to develop an extra large
bearing capacity.
2. Large Lateral Resistance
With its great resistance to bending moments a steel pipe pile can - withstand large hori
loads.
Se -Conere Pe3. Good Penetration
Steel Pipe Piles are made of strong material. They can bear powerful driving forces without
damaging the pile top. Furthermore the sharp of pile tip makes it easy to crush through gravel.

4. Safe Joints for Longer Pile
Steel pipe pile joints are easily made up by welding, which are as strong as their base metal.
Steel pipe piles can be jointed to any required depth of penetration.
5. Smaller Net Sectional Area
In clayey soils piles can be spaced closely, because clays are disturbed less owing lesser soil
displacement by piles. Adverse effects on the existing neighboring structure almost non
existent.ADVANTAGES OF STEEL PIPE PILES

10. Saving of Construction Cost and Time
Added to the properties mentioned above steel pipe piles have the advantage of being least
weight pile material per unit allowable bearing capacity and have the advantage choice for
the thickness and length to suit the objective. These will all help to save construction cost
and time.
