Executive Summary

Pepsi Cola is managing its operations in different cities of Pakistan. Haidri beverages are analyzed for
their organizational design and change. The value creation, hierarchal structures, mission and vision
and decision making were subjected to the study. Centralized decision making and tall hierarchy has
created some problems in operation. Innovation, technology and market capture are the core
competencies of the Pepsi. Stake holders according to its internal and external environment are
analyzed. The process of Pepsi cola and their quality control mechanism was analyzed. The roles and
differentiation has been analyzed.

CHAPTER ONE: ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

Brief description of the organization.


History

Haidri Bevereges (Pvt) Ltd is the largest beverage company in Pakistan (A Franchise of
PepsiCo Inc.) with a successful business history of more than 25 years which is a frachise of
PepsiCo Inc.
Pepsi is a carbonated soft drink produced and manufactured by PepsiCo. The drink was first
made in the 1890s by pharmacist Caleb Bradham in New Bern, North Carolina. The brand was
trademarked on June 16, 1903. There have been many Pepsi variants produced over the years
since 1898.
It was first introduced as "Brad's Drink" in New Bern, North Carolina in 1898 by Caleb
Bradham, who made it at his pharmacy where the drink was sold. It was later named Pepsi
Cola, possibly due to the digestive enzyme pepsin and kola nuts used in the recipe. Bradham
sought to create a fountain drink that was delicious and would aid in digestion and boost energy.

Their mission is to produce PepsiCo quality beverages, maintain market leadership by growing
our sales volumes, strengthen our market share, deliver ROI to all of its stakeholders and fulfill
its responsibilities in the community.

CHAPTER TWO: DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES


I have worked as Assistant Manager in this company and I had several responsibilities. I had
to ensure the coming of ingredients required for the product. The ensurity for the products was
a must so that the product should be aquired according to all sales level.
I had to ensure the sales of the past sales with future so that we could check how much profit
we could make than the the last.

CHAPTER THREE: RECOMMENDATIONS


There should be proper planning by:
 Assessing current human resource standards & generating human
r e s o u r c e s inventory.
 Assessing future human resources needs by organization’s strategies &
future programs.
 After assessing current capabilities of future needs a progra
m s h o u l d b e developed to have right person for the right job & at right time.
 At the moment, HR department is itself facing staffing problem & it seems to benon
existent.

 The selection process through which candidates pass is very
s l o w & t i m e consuming pass is very slow and time consuming. Candidate have to sit
day.
 Longw a i t i n g f o r m a n a g e m e n t a p p r o v a l t o s t a r t t e s t & t h e n .
T h e r e i s s e r v i c e o f interviews which have no time table. It is generally three four
days patience test &trouble some for candidates from other cities or already doing jobs.
 For the medical bills and small loan employees need to get managing
director’sa p p r o v a l s a n d t h e n p a s s t h r o u g h a l o n g p r o c e d u r e . I t s h o u l d
b e s i m p l i f i e d . Department heads should be authorized to approved loans and medical
bills up toa certain amount.
 Computer & job related aptitude test should also be made part of selection tests tohave
better job personality fit.

CHAPTER FOUR: LEARNING OUTCOMES


During this training, I acquired a lot of knowledge through how theoretical principles that will
have really benefit in my profession in the future. I worked there as an Assistant Manager
where I learned:
 To deal with other employees
 To deal with the clients
 To check how the supply ingredients for ensurity of availabilty of products
 Determine demand of future sales with past sales
 Keeping possitive distribution levels to all sales outlets to maintain positive sales
