1 TCA for z/OS pair suspend, host job ABEND, and performance degradation
Phenomena At the time when many hardware-related failures (CHK1B) occurred, I/O time over occurred at
a VOL of TCA for z/OS, which caused pair suspend and host job abend.
Because of the I/O time over the host job, left in operation, continued to occupy the cache slot
resource and then the subsequent I/Os became busy, leading to performance degradation.
Conditions The problem may occur with all the conditions below met.
1. Any of the following (A), (B), or (C) is used
A. Concurrent Copy
B. XRC
C. TCA for z/OS
2. A hardware-related failure, such as CHK1B, occurs, while a processing related to any of the
(A), (B) or (C) above is in progress in DKC
