Main Project Notice

This notice informs 4th year computer science students that they must identify and register the title of their final semester major project by November 5th, 2010. Students must submit a one page abstract of their proposed project, including the domain/area/technology and clear objectives. Projects cannot be database or web applications, and must be carried out in real work environments like government or private companies. Some suggested project areas include .NET, data mining, grid computing, parallel computing, and network security. Students are asked to avoid duplicating projects and register their titles by the deadline.

NOTICE Date: 27/09/2010

This is to inform B.Tech C.S.E IV/I students that they have to identify Final
Semester Major Project Work Task and get the project title registered with the
undersigned on or before 05/11/2010 . Each student have to Submit a hard copy of the
proposed project work title along with the one page abstract featuring the
domain/area/technology used with a clear objective of work to carried out. It is clearly
informed that the students must conform to engineering field/technology projects and
not Database Applications or Services Centric projects [no .com projects].

GUIDELINES TO BE FOLLOWED
1. Projects must be carried out in real time environments such as Governmental
/Public sectors / MNC’s or Private Ltd. Companies which are STPI registered .
OR The students can carry out his/her project in the college itself if
specifications/application and resources deem appropriate to the Main Project.
(It is further informed that the real time projects are available now if the students
approach early to reputed organizations like BHEL, ECIL, NIC, WIPRO, TCS….
KANBAY, CSC …… etc)
2. Projects from Educational Computer Institutions are not acceptable.
3. At most three students can be assigned a project provided the project is qualified and
possess minimum three detailed modules.
4. Each project would be subjected to three (3) levels of review.
5. The project must be on par with the IEEE standards [supported by IEEE
standards] or students can Implement Directly IEEE transactions papers.

Computing 6. Network security cryptography 7. Communication and Networking
/telecommunication Applications 8. Neural Networks 9. Digital Image Processing 10.
Network Management 11. Internet firewalls 12. Animation Improvement Algorithms 13.
Embedded Systems 14.Fuzzy Systems Applications 15. Fault-Tolerant Systems 16.Visual
Interactive Modeling 17. Supercomputing 18. Optical Computing 19.Genetic Algorithms
and Evolutional Systems; 20. Very Large Scale Scientific Computing 21 Computational
Medicine 22. Artificial Intelligence 23. Cybernetics 24. Computer Security Issues 25.
Information retrieval systems 26 Evolutionary and Innovative Computing 27. Bio-
Informatics 28.Clouds Computing etc..and the above list is inclusive of any new
project/technology ,if any .

The students are asked to register their project titles and avoid duplication of
projects and elude late submissions.
