Brick Drain Design - IS 1905

This document provides the design of a brick drain for a 445 MW CCPP project. It includes calculations for the lateral pressure and bending moment on the drain wall, determining the compressive and tensile stresses are within code limits. It also calculates the bending stress and uplift force on the drain base, confirming the stresses and factor of safety are acceptable. The drain wall thickness is 230mm and the base area is 1.16 m^2. The document verifies the design meets the required strength and safety standards.
