Settings & Set Mode

Press MHz(SET) for one sec.


Then rotate dial to select Set Mode Item. Press MHz(SET) After selection is made press MHz(SET) for
one sec. to save.

-Scan-Resume Mode (p. 45) -Skip channel when scanning(p. 46)

Memory Bank Operation(p. 39)


Eight Memory Banks can be set up easily using software. I like RT Systems software and cables. Chirp
is free software, but is more difficult to use and you will need to buy a separate cable. Once you have
Banks set up and loaded in the radio use the following procedure to select a Bank.

M/W button switches between VFO (Variable Memory Operation) and Memory mode. Make sure you
are in memory mode.
To select a Bank.
Press * on microphone to activate “Memory Bank” mode. Then press # to increment Banks.

PMS Band Limit Memory Scan-Resume(p. 47) Toggle Alphanumeric/Frequency


Press and hold AN/LOW for 1 sec.
PMS 1 contains all 2 meter ham frequencies.
Press MHz(SET) look for “PMS” icon. Home Button
Press D/MR(MW) to go to 146.520
Set Tone

Press MHz/SET for 1 second


Select # 49 SQLTYP
Press MHz/SET
Rotate dial to TONE
Press MHz momentarily
Rotate dial to #52 TN FRQ
Press MHz to select Tone Frequency
Press MHz for 1 second to save

Weather
P4 on microphone toggles weather
