Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter of reference for Ms. Duong Ha Ly with whom I had very close
working relationship since I began my employment with Military Commercial Joint Stock
Bank (MB). In Joint Stock Commercial Bank for foreign trade of Vietnam ( VCB ), Ba Dinh
Branch, she works as a Junior Relationship Manager in Corporate Banking Department. I
came to know her in case I and her joined a Finance and Banking Seminar together. Then, we
worked as a group to discuss Mergers and Acquisitions ( M&A)- advisory on sale, merger and
purchase of companies and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) – advice on raising and structuring
of debt to finance acquisitions. She quickly became a group leader and earned respect of
many members and professors in our seminar. During this time, I had the opportunity to know
very well Ms. Ly as a good relationship manager of VCB with her good knowledge on
finance and also a hard person. As a CFVG Alumni, I held my resposible for introducing Ms
Ly to Master in Economics of Banking and Finance Program.

Within the period of her work, she has known herself as a disciplined, reliable and
conscientious leader with the comprehensive knowledge in different areas. Studied at the
Bachelor in Economics of Banking and Finance’s program of Vietnam National
University-Ha Noi, Ms. Ly did demonstrate her deep interest and learning skills in Finance,
Economic and Investment, as well as actively participate in the extra-curriculum social
activities. She was involved in numerous interactions with finance and business practitioners
and analysis of various business cases. She told me that she had had some business trainings
and organized events with guest speakers from companies of financial branch before.
Therefore, she revealed her exceptional abilities to adapt in new situations and work in team.

In sum, Ms. Ly is a responsible, motivated and hard-working person with excellent analytical
skills. And I believed that her steady academic background and practical experience allow her
to contribute to the development of the bank. I also deeply thought that she was suitable for
the Master’s program in Economics of Banking and Finance of CFVG as well as CFVG
environment. I recommend her, without revervation, for application to the Master’s program
in Economics of Banking and Finance at French Vietnamese Center of Management.
