The play focuses follows them from their initial meeting to their eventual move from Puerto Rico to the United States. Once they are in the United States, Eusebio suffers health problems including losing part of his leg. The play explores emotions of love, change and culture.

Boleros for the Disenchanted ste Propuction Hisroxy ‘in 2008 Boleros for the Disenchanted received its world premiere at Yale Repertory Theatre in New Haven (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Vietoria Nolan, Managing Director). Ie was directed by Henry Godinez. Linda Buchanan was the set designet. Yuri Cataldo was the costume designer. Joe Appelt was the lighting designer. ‘Veronika Vorel was the sound designer, The stage manager was Danielle Federico. Gary Perez Felix Solis Lucia Brawley MANUELOMPRIEST prreaMoNIca EUSEDIOOSEAR Joe Minoso In 2009 Boleros for the Disenchanted was produced at American Conservatory Theater ic San Francisco (Carey Pecloff, Artistic Director; Heather M. Kitchen, Executive Director). It was directed by Carey Petloff. Ralph Funicello was the set designer. Sandra ‘Woodall was the costume designer. Nancy Schertler was the ight ing designer. Fabian Obispo was the sound designer and composed original music. Elisa Guthertz was the stage manager. The cast was as follows: FLORWEVE Hee DORA MILLA/OLDER FLORA Rachel Ticatin, DON FERMIN/OLDER FUSEBIO Robert Beltran -MANUELO/OSKAR Dion Mvcciacito PErRA/MONICA, Michele Vazquez snsensa/onrer Drew Cortese 1n 2009 Boleros for the Disenchanted was also produced at the Goodman Theaterin Chicago (Robert Falls Artistic Director, Roche Schulfer, Executive Director). It was directed by Henry Godinez. Linda Buchanan was the set designer. Rechel Anne Healy was the costume designer. Joseph Appelt was the lighting designer. Ray Nardelli and Joshua Horvath were the sound designers, Gustavo Leone was the composes. Alden Vasquez was the production stage manager.
