Form Th-1 National University of Sciences & Technology Master'S Thesis Work Formulation of Guidance and Examination Committee

Malik Naveed Akhter is a student in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the National University of Sciences & Technology. He has completed 18 credit hours with a GPA of 3.75. His proposed thesis topic is the "Design and Fabrication of soft exoskeletal glove." The goal is to develop a soft, comfortable silicone glove with tendon-based actuation to provide grasping and pinching forces to patients with spinal cord injuries to perform daily living activities. He has proposed a timeline that includes developing a proof of concept model by December 2018, fabricating a final product by April 2019, and completing clinical trials by May 2019.
