PHENomenon of Sound

Sound waves can reflect off surfaces creating echoes, refract as they pass from one medium to another, and diffract around obstacles. The speed of sound increases with rising temperature as warmer air molecules vibrate faster, allowing sound waves to transmit vibrations at a higher speed through the air. Different sound waves can interfere with each other through constructive or destructive interference.

Sound Waves Phenomenon

Reflection (echo) Refraction

The higher the temperature, the faster the air molecules are moving. This is
because the molecules of air are moving faster and the vibrations of the sound
wave can therefore be transmitted faster.
