Detent pins and springs, split and input shaft

Note: New springs and detent pins may only be mounted on input shafts with part number according to Figure 1.
It isextremely important that old and new parts are not mixed. If a mixture of old and new parts should occur, there is a
risk that synchronising would become extremely poor, or alternately that certain parts would be damaged as a result.

Input shaft to each gearbox respectively.

The input shaft has been changed and has a new part number.

The modified shaft was introduced into production from and including chassis number:
A 607324 –
B 406880 –
863242 –
E 715032 –
The point at which the gearbox changes is serial number 20052350065.
For VERS-SAM vehicles, the point at which the gearbox changes is number 20052720334.

Refer to the table in figure 1 for the correct part number and where to find it on the shaft.

Note: If the input shaft is replaced, the main shaft axial play must be adjusted.

The new detent pins are 0.4 mm thicker than the older ones and the ends of the new springs B and C, are not ground
while the ends of the old springs A, are ground. The new spring C has 0.9 mm diameter wire

The springs have been changed and the new springs (C) and detent pins (B), see figure 2, are available as a kit with
new part number 21141850.
The kit contains four detent pins and four springs.
