Fatality at HHI Fabrication Yard, Korea

What Happened

On April 15, 2006 at about 1330, a fitter was working on a


load-out support frame (LSF) to correct miss aligned section
of the frame before mounting a steel plate. While moving
from the ladder towards the scaffold, he fell from a height
and hit the left side of his head on the corner of a steel
working table there by sustaining a fractured skull and
laceration. He was immediately admitted at the hospital and
was later certified dead on May 1, 2006

There was no eye witness to confirm the actual cause of the


incident.
