FOREWORD:

The civil law silently regulates everyone’s lives although most individuals do not
become aware of its existence until a certain matter dictates that they need to
become involved with a specific aspect of it. Civil law as a whole governs the
issues between private individuals (as opposed to criminal law which is the
state regulating society’s behavior). It deals with matters concerning rights,
obligations and duties and it encompasses areas such as regulating of the
terms of a contact and any subsequent breach of those terms. It covers a
variety of different aspects such as personal injury claims, matters of family law,
and the buying and selling of houses and employment law, through to wills, trusts
and issues of inheritance. The civil law therefore can be involved in many aspects
of a person’s life and it would be virtually impossible for an individual to go
through life without encountering at least one limb of civil law at some point of
time as the reach of the civil law extents as far as everyday mundane matters as
getting on a train or a bus or buying an item from a shop.

Civil Justice systems in the United kingdom, means generally about all the
institutions and processes, judicial and extra judicial ,which contribute in handling
