irregular or if respiratory arrest occurs, get medical attention, provide artificial respiration or oxygen by trained
personnel.
Ingestion: - Ingestion of this product is unlikely. If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if person is con-
scious) Get medical attention immediately if irritation develops and persists.
Skin Contact: - Immediately flush skin with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get
medical attention immediately if irritation develops and persists. Wash clothing before reuse.
Suitable Extinguishing Media — Dry chemical, foam, carbon dioxide (C02), water fog.
Products of Combustion — Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, other undertennined com
pounds could be released in small quantities.

eration. store at or below 25° C (77° F) and relative humidity less than 65 for optimum performance.
Exposure Limits:
Engineering Controls: Use locallgeneral exhaust ventilation as required to keep airborne concen -
-trations below exposure limits
Eye/face Protection: Safety glasses with side-shields.
Skin Protection: Long pants, long sleeved shirt, and protective gloves.
Respiratory Protection: Respiratory protection must be used if ventilation is not available or inade
-quate to keep dust and fiber levels below exposure levels listed in section
A NIOSH approved disposable N95 type dust respirator or better is rec
ommended.
General Hygiene Considerations Wash hands immediately after handling product and before breaks.
Wash contaminated clothes thoroughly before reuse.

Summary:
There are no known health effects from the long term use or contact with nonrespirable, continuous
filament glass fibers. As manufactured, the glass fibers in this product are nonrespirable. Fibers with a di-
ameter greater than 3.5 micrometers are nonrespirable. All glass fibers used in this fabric are greater than
3.5 micrometers. If dust is generated in processing the diameter may be less than the minimum diameter
and a respirator should be used.
The measured airborne concentration of these respirable fibers in areas where severe processing of fiberglass
occurred has been shown to be extremely low and well below the TLV. Based on an animal study, repeated or
prolonged exposure to respirable glass fibers may cause fibrosis, lung cancer, and mesothelioma.
