Tourism Development Plan

Background Information

Flordeliz is a Barangay in the municipality of Macrohon in the province of


Southern Leyte. Marcrohon is widely rich on different types of tourist attractions, one of
its major highlight was the Flordeliz Cliff which is bordered by the Tatay Ade Beach
Resort. As the tourism situation in Macrohon was in flux many concerns of residency
occurs, one of it was many tourist from neighboring sites come along to the said place to
experience cliff diving but the residency were worried about the safety and security of
the tourist visitors due to the lack of utilities of the said place.

Issues and Constraints

In planning to have a development of a tourists attraction different issues occur that


must have an immediate action to solve it and here are the different fields of issues and
constraints;

Environmental Issues

The environmental issues of Flordeliz Cliff are no proper water supply on site. In
terms also of the physical appearance of the place was it is risky due to its sharp rocks,
underdeveloped infrastructure meet likely road development or improvement going to
the particular sight, there is no present facilities available, the sight also has poor waste
management system and has not enough safety and security towards the tourists.

Social Issues

In terms of societal issues one of the main issues and constraints is not having a
regular transportation going to the site where tourist must have to walk cause it’s a
unfrequented place and far from the town proper which is the Macrohon.
Economic Issues

When we talk about economy of the chosen barangay is really lack of financial
support from the LGU (Local Government Unit.) or doesn’t have enough funds in terms
of the development of the tourists’ attraction.

Concerns of Residence

One of the residential concerns was to develop a proper waste management, to


enhance the status on road development, to improve the accessibility of the site and
improve basic utilities and the accessibility of the site.

Marketing Analysis

In developing a tourists attraction consumers do really play main role. One of


our target market would be the local residency of Macrohon itself, the tourists visitors
either local or international specifically to those millennium who really loves to
experience cliff diving.

Public Participation

In terms of public participation we will be providing a job opportunity to the


local and neighboring residents, and we will conduct a seminars and trainings to the
participants for the skills development that could really help in the improvement and
productivity either to the site or to the community.

Goals

In setting a plan it will not be successful without goals and our goals are the following;

 To protect Resources
 Boost the Local Economy of Macrohon
 To increase Tourists Arrival
 Be one of the well known Tourist Attraction in Southern Leyte
 Community Development
Theme Development

“Take a Glimps of different rock formation and experience a shade of blue-green


beach with natural jaw dropping beauty in it.”

Objectives

What: To improve the tourism facilities and services

To increase the number of tourist arrivals

Who: The Tourism Development and Management, Tourism Officers, LGU and the Host
Community

When: 2019-2022

Where: Brgy.Flordeliz, Macrohon Southern Leyte

Why: To increase the number of tourist arrival and the local income of Brgy.Flordeliz
Macrohon Southern Leyte.
