INTRODUCTION :

Human Resource is one of the most valuable and unique assets of
organization.

Training is the acquisition of knowledge, skills and competencies as a result
of the teaching, that relate to specific job.

Training plays an important role in human resource development.

Training gives confidence and ability to employee to perform job
efficiently.

Training is for developing overall personality of an employee.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY :

❖ To know whether the training programs are meeting the objectives of


the management.
❖ To know the satisfaction, perception and experience regarding the
training and development in Infosys.
❖ To evaluate the effectiveness of training and development programs.
❖ To examine the training and development techniques in Infosys.
❖ To give suggestions if any, to the company for developing the
effectiveness of training methods in Infosys.
❖ Develop the competences of employees and improve their
performance.
NEED OF THE STUDY :
 Training is a means of maintaining, rising and satisfying talent. Training has
evolved not only a means of maintaining employees' skills, but also a strategy
to retain, develop and reward key talent.
 Training increase organization's reliability for the reason that employees
recognize their organization is spending in their future career.
 Treating employees like “Human Capital” by using the motivation strategies
and techniques of management science could help achieve the common goal of
management: enhance productivity, increase efficiency and boost quality and
moral.
 Motivational Tool : Motivation goes way up when people know that they can
move up in a organization. Training is proved to be a tool to motivate the
employees who further result into better or improved performance.
 Training will also provide the client with the tools to develop deeper, more
meaningful relationship with the organization and with others.

 INFOSYS Limited (formerly Infosys Technologies Limited) is an Indian
multinational corporation that provides business consulting, information
technology and outsourcing services. It has the main headquarter in
Bangalore, India.
 Infosys is the second – largest Indian IT services company by 2016
revenues and the largest employer of H-1B visa professionals in the United
States. On January 12th 2017, its market capitalization was $34.38 Billion.
 Co-founded in 1981 by 7 Engineers N.R. Narayana Murthy, Nandan
Nikekani, N.S. Raghavan, S. Gopalakrishnan, S.D. Shibulal, K. Dinesh and
Ashok Arora after they resigned from Patni Computer systems.
 The company was incorporated as “Infosys Consultants Pvt Ltd.” with a
capital of 10,000 or US$250 (equivalent to about $659 in 2016) in Model
Colony, Pune as the registered office. It signed its first client, Data Basics
Corporation in New York city.
