ABSTRACT
I have done an industrial training on SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). This is a
project report on my report on “SEO in M-POWERSOLUTIONS.COM”.
Mpowersolutions is a man-power providing website which provides multiple services
like Bouncer and Driver services, Housekeeping services as well as Security services
and Valet parking services also.

The project took an ample amount of hard work, planning, schedule and determination
for the successful execution. I have learnt a lot of new concepts which weren’t known to
me earlier. I am not familiar to SEO that much, so I always wanted to know about the
backend processes involved in optimising the website. I along my team worked on
several live projects during my industrial training within the organisation, most of them
were client projects and few of them were of the organisation itself.

CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION

1.1 Aim

The purpose of industrial training is to provide students the exposure and opportunity to
run hands on practical fields in engineering. It gives students a sense of morality and
hardwork others do to achieve great success in their fields.

1.2 Objective

The main Moto of the industrial training is to give a company exposure and a chance to
engineering graduates to acknowledge, observe and to find out how engineering is
applied within the real in. It’s not solely to induce expertise on technical experience but
also to observe management practices and to interact in a professional environment.

1.3 Scope

Industrial training helps us to start our own business if we have entrepreneur skills. You
can work as a freelancer for earning your living. Industrial training assists students in
understanding the concepts and getting better job chances. After Successful completion
of our training sometimes same company can hire you on the basis of your performance.

Industrial training and knowledge will make you clear about your interested areas, then
taking decision for the career will be easy. Students are always being in this dilemma that
which domain is good for them. And industrial training can help them to get rid of this
situation.

In industrial training, you’ll get sensible knowledge concerning technologies and work
atmosphere. It’ll assist you to understand that, how precisely corporations truly work.
Because industrial training is not normal training while during this you are playacting as
their employee being a part of their organization. In industrial training, trainers focus on
live approach and provide projects which feel like corporate Environment.

1.4 Selection of the Industry

My winter industrial training was completed in AgileTech. Raghunathpury, Tonk road,


Jaipur (Raj.). The selection of the company was solely based on the company’s huge
clientele and a 4-year record in the software development field. The company provided
excellent trainers for app development in android, .net web development, Search Engine
Optimization. Which helped me greatly in completing projects in a very short span of
time.

1.5 Duration of Training:

The training period given by the college was from November 26, 2018 to February 15,
2019. The criteria from college mentioned 55 days of training at minimum if company
has Saturday and Sunday counted as leave days and 65 days if Sunday is counted as
leave. I joined the company on December 3, 2018 and worked till February 16, 2019
completing 65 days in total.

Duration of training: 03/12/2018 to 16/02/2019

As a Student, I would like to say that this idea of industrial training program is an
wonderful chance for us to get to the bottom level and skill the knowledge that we’d
have never gained through going straight into employment. Winter training has helped
me discover different virtues of learning and improving my skills in my desired domain.
The winter training has given me 11 weeks to learn and discover efficient fields of work
for me which will help me greatly in coming henceforth future. It didn’t only help me in
building a strong foundation for our future but also gave a goal to start working on in
order to achieve a greater success and appreciation. The initiatives taken by the college
have only helped us grow further and stronger from before. The fruitful results of the
training can prove how efficient and hard work our period has been.

TECHNOLOGIES LEARNED

3.1 Introduction to SEO

3.1.1 What is Search Engine Optimisation?

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a Method of improving and increasing the ranking
of a website within the SERP (Search Engine Results Page) of target search engines for
a group of known key phrases. It is the method of getting traffic and obtaining maximum
number of visitors by making sure that the website appears top on the list of results
returned by a given search engine from the “free,” “organic,” “editorial” or “natural”
search engines result page by search engines. The 3 major search engines for which we
tend to optimise are Google, Yahoo and Bing. All 3 follow similar however completely
different rules for ranking websites. Due to its popularity, Google is the search engine
which we pay closest attention to. In short, SEO is regarding obtaining your target
webpage to the peak in the search results of your target search engine as quickly as
possible in order to get people to click on your website.

3.1.2. What is a keyword / key phrase?

preference. This is a vital tool when performing keyphrase analysis.

3.1.4 Crawling

achievable on the Internet.

The 3rd and final step within the process is for search engines to decide which pages
to show in the SERP and in what order, when somebody enters a query. This is
achieved through the use of search engine ranking algorithms. In simple terms, these
are pieces of software that have a variety of rules that analyse what the user is
searching for and what data to give in return. These rules and selections are made
based on what information is available in their index.

Step 1: Analyse User Query: - The primary step is for search engines to know for
what kind of data, the user is searching for. To do that, they analyze the user’s query
by breaking it down into numerous meaningful keywords. A keyword is a word that
has a specific meaning and purpose.

CHAPTER 5

CONCLUSION
The three months long internship program at Agile Tech was my first experience in an IT
company. I have no any experience working in a real world scenario before that. I was
lucky to be around very passionate, experienced and vibrant team at Agile Tech, who all
have enjoyed several years of experience in the business. In those eleven weeks, I believe
to have developed several interpersonal and professional skills that will have a huge
impact in the forthcoming days.

5.1 Challenges
The different challenges faced by me during the course of Internship at Agile Tech.
included the following:

5.1.2 Impatient clients


Sometimes it is hard to manage client’s expectations. As optimising a website is a time
taken process. an implemented organic SEO on a website can take ample amount of time
from a minimum of 4 weeks to 4-6 months to see some results, and the process should be
repeated further to stay in competition, but the clients we got in our training wants instant
results, which is nearly impossible without investing money for inorganic SEO.

5.1.3 Website Malfunctions


Some of the websites on which we did SEO have some internal issues and logistical
dilemmas, which causes the website malfunction and can take time to achieve results or
sometimes the SEO done on them went worthless.

5.1.4 SEO- A time consuming process


The major drawback of my industrial training domain is that it requires time to see
results for what you’ve done. This time consuming thing is also the one of the flaws of
Search Engine Optimisation. It may take up to 6 months to optimise a website upto the
mark. We continuously have to keep working on a project in order to stay in the race
otherwise the ranking of our website will start decreasing.

5.1.5 Boring and full of frustrations

we have to do repeated tasks again and again for increasing the viewers and reach of
the website. Like we have to lots of bookmarking, classifieds submissions, article
submissions, profile submissions, blogposts and hundreds of blog/forum commenting.

5.2 Future Scope

The scope of SEO in India is very broad and have a very bright future. According
to Times of India, digital marketing areas such as Search Engine Optimization, Social
Media, and Analytics will create more than 1.5 Lakh jobs with the salary range of Rs
4.5-5.5 Lakh in the coming years. Companies are now realizing the potential of SEO for
their business. SEO brings many freelancing opportunities.

5.3 Conclusion

The internship program has been an excellent and rewarding experience for me. It has
provided the opportunity to develop understanding of real world working environment
as well as establish network contact with different personnel from the IT industry. I have
gained valuable insights into the dynamic field of Search Engine Optimization. SEO is
generally seen as a small phase in the web development technologies. But during this
internship, I learnt that SEO is in itself a vast field which can be considered a potential
career choice. Last but not the least; the internship has made one thing very clear that
is there is no such thing as an overnight success when it comes to SEO. It is a slow process
but done the right way result will come very efficiently.
