Symmetrical Fault Calculations

1) The document provides two examples of calculating fault current at a given point (F) on a system. 2) In the first example, the fault current (IFHV) is calculated to be 2970 A. In the second example, a generator is added and the equivalent impedance (ZEq) is calculated to be 0.456. Using ZEq, the fault current (IFpu) is calculated to be 2.192 pu. 3) The document walks through calculating base values, impedances in per unit, and then uses the equivalent impedance to determine fault current values for two different system configurations.
