Tyn840 PDF

The TYNx40 series is a 40A SCR suitable for applications requiring in-rush current control. It has a maximum RMS on-state current of 40A, and can handle non-repetitive surge currents up to 480A. The SCR provides superior performance in high surge current capabilities using clip assembly technology. It is available in 600V, 800V, and 1000V versions, and is packaged in a TO-220AB package.

The TYNx40 series is suitable for applications A
G
where in-rush current conditions are critical, such
as overvoltage crowbar protection circuits in TO-220AB
power supplies, in-rush current limiting circuits, (TYNx40)
solid state relays (in back to back configuration),
welding equipment, high power motor control
circuits.
Using clip assembly technology, they provide a
superior performance in high surge current capa-
bilites.
