THANK YOU SPEECH FOR TEACHERS – 1

Respected Principal, Teachers and My Dear Friends!

First of all, I would like to welcome you all to the occasion of our farewell day. I have been given
this opportunity to host the program today. Well, this is a very emotional moment for all of us
as we are getting promoted to a new life on the one hand; whereas on the other hand we are
also leaving behind our most favourite place, i.e. our school where we spent the most
significant growing years of our lives.

I would like to utilise this moment to thank all our teachers who prepared us for the world
outside. Our teachers have been an epitome of strength and a great pillar of support to all of
us. They have been as strict as father and as loving as mother, equally caring like a friend, a
strict disciplinarian and yet always so approachable. Our teachers are wonderful human beings
because they have accepted all of us with all the weaknesses and have worked upon us to
overcome those weaknesses.

I still remember, I joined this school in Standard V, when I used to be the shy and introvert
person. I faced difficulties in speaking in public and today, I am standing here to deliver the
farewell speech. This is all because of the great and loving teachers I came across in this school.
They never left any stone unturned to change my personality and attitude. Needless to say,
they have worked on me even more to prepare me for the outside world. A teacher is
essentially a mentor and a role model for the student. The student believes in the teachers and
every word they say. They are noble and selfless people coz they accept each of their student
wholeheartedly without any bias and favouritism.

My parents always say, that school period is the golden period in everyone’s life and I realize it
now when I stand amidst all my favourite teachers and fellow friends to bid goodbye for a
newer world.

I would especially take out some moment from this event to thank Ma’m X and Sir A for being
my guide always and showing me the right direction and path to walk on. It was more difficult
for me than the other students to accomplish the projects and tasks you assigned to us. You
both have spent extra hours and shown special care to me in order to prepare me for the ‘real
world’. I still remember the day in Class XI, when I had given up and lost all hopes; both of you
encouraged me in your own special way and shared examples of great people who failed in the
beginning and later became famous people.

You taught us to be persistent and chase the dream without compromising on small issues;
that was one of several lessons I have learnt from all of you. I am sure, all my friends would like
to share the word of gratitude with our loving teachers, as we have always been very grateful to
all of you.

I thank all the teachers, Principal and all other staff on behalf of the fellow students and myself.

Thank you for being an indispensable part of our lives!

THANK YOU SPEECH FOR TEACHERS – 2

Respected Principal, Respected Teachers and My Dear Fellow Students!

Today is a very emotional moment for us as it’s the last day of our school and after this event
most of us will choose different paths in life. This event is organised annually, giving an
opportunity to each one of us to thank each other, exchange contact details and promise each
other to stay connected as long as possible; but I am a bit more lucky to get an opportunity to
host this programme.

This is a special occasion for me and I am going to utilise this platform to thank the entire
institution for nurturing me with so much of love and care. I would especially like to thank the
teachers who have worked so hard towards educating us and transforming us from a raw to a
mature and sensible individual.

I know, my life is going to change soon as I am moving to a new world entirely, where I’ll have to
make my own decisions and there will be none to guide me with so much of intensity as my
teachers have guided me so far. But I am sure, the lessons that I’ve learnt from my teachers
here would remain forever with me.
A special thank to the Principal Sir, who trusted me and allowed me to take admission in this
school even though I was late by almost 2 months due to some family mishap. This school for
me is like my first home as I have spent most of the hours of my day here.

I can’t thank enough Miss A for taking care of me like a mother does to her child. There have
been times when I’ve lost the hopes and she has scolded me like a mother, supported me like a
friend and guided me like a mentor. Ma’am, you have not only built up my confidence, but have
also taught me to be strong. You have prepared me for all the future battles and struggles. My
life with you and under you has taken the best shape it ever could and I am going to miss you
forever.

I would also like to thank our PT Sir, who has been very particular about the physical fitness and
would not let us miss the class. Sir, though you have taught us the benefit of healthy living and
physical fitness, but the best lesson I’ve learnt from you is about the time management.

While I’ve got the occasion to thank all my teachers, I can’t miss this moment to thank Miss B,
our Arts teacher. For a bland person like me, she introduced ‘arts’ as sunshine. I could literally
never even hold a colour pencil right, while she pushed me to win the drawing competition in
standard VIII. Truly thanks, Ma’am.

This entire school is a treasure of knowledge for me and I’ve cherished each and every moment
I’ve spent here. Though I am going to be physically away, I will always carry in my heart, the
love, care, attention, blessing and teachings I’ve got from here.

Once again, thank you to all my teachers!

Thank You ABC School

THANK YOU SPEECH FOR TEACHERS – 3

Good morning respected principal, teachers and my dear friends.
I, on behalf of the entire school management welcome you all to this special ‘Teacher’s Day’
assembly session today.

Thank you so much to all the teachers present here in this school. We as students have been
able to uplift ourselves just because of your love, care, guidance and support. Each of our
teachers has been the motivation spirit for us in all respects. Being a teacher is a big time job. It
is not limited to only that few hours of teaching in the classroom; it is much more beyond those
hours. From preparing the teaching contents (before coming to the classrooms) to prepare the
test papers; and then to conduct special mentoring sessions for their students. Everything that
a teacher does is commendable with due respect to the efforts they put in.

Being a grown up, now I have realized that teachers play a very crucial role in the child’s life.
Many major lessons of life beyond the defined syllabus lessons and scripted books are taught
by our teachers only. They help us in building our friendship skills, our communication skills,
our writing skills, our overall gesture and presentation skills, etc. Thanks to all the teachers for
making us learn the tactics of overall existence.

For any school or educational centre to exist, it is very important for the teachers to be present
there. Without teachers, there is nobody to dedicatedly execute the education practically for
which these entities are built. For the morale upbringing of the child, presence of teacher in the
life is very important. Teachers help in building the child effectively and efficiently.

We as students owe a huge amount of love, care, affection and respect towards each and every
teacher that has ever been present in our life. I am obliged to have witnessed the presence of
such great entities in my life. Since my kids care school till this last session of class 12th, I feel so
content and complete when I look back on what I have learnt. This learning is much more than
the scripted books.

The courage and confidence that’s built in me today is because of the wonderful teachers that
have been a part of my journey. Thank you teachers acknowledging your efforts and dedication
towards the upbringing of a child are completely incredible. My teachers have guided me like
my parents and supported me like my friends. Because of which, they today hold such a special
place in my heart.

Thank you teachers for making me a citizen that inherits a true character. This has been
possible because of the learning given by you. I respect you all for all the deeds that you have
done. Trust me existence of educational institutions without you people is just a hollow
building, and I am sure the school management agrees with my thought. A teacher is by all
means the most essential element in the schools. Thank you so much to each of the teacher.

Thank you everybody for being a part of this session. Please always stay connected to your
teachers as they surely have something excellent to make you learn. Thank you!

THANK YOU SPEECH FOR TEACHERS – 4

Good morning to all. It is a pleasure seeing you all gathered here.

Today, through my speech I would like share a token of thanks to all the teachers that have
been a part of my life.

Each teacher deserves tremendous love, care, affection and respect. We all should acknowledge
the importance of presence of a teacher in our lives. They have made us capable of who we are
today, they have built our character and have made us realize the path towards our dreams
and towards the ultimate success. Our teachers have enabled us to identify the things that are
good for us, they have helped us in knowing which path should we choose for.

Teachers are the strongest pillars on which all these educational institutions are built. It is a
great achievement on being a teacher. You as individuals teach so many students and add on to
the upliftment of the society by improving the literacy rate of the country. Teachers are a
perfect blend of theoretical (educational) and practical (life) learning.
Thank you teachers for being the most essential inspirational source that has enabled us to be
the person of dignity. You have built our character and have showcased us the path of success.
You have try inspired each one of us to have dreams and have a focused approach in achieving
these dreams and goals.

You as teachers have helped us brighten our future and made a person of true character
because of the guidance that you have given us throughout our journey. You have nurtured us
with the education and all the motivational learning. You as teachers have the power to mold
the generations and make them understand the value of everything. Teachers tend to have a
great emotional impact on the students due to which the learning effect from teachers is more
intact and effective.

Thank you teachers for all the time that you spent on the students. Each of your small effort
has made us capable of leading a great life today. Words are few but feelings are limitless to
express our gratitude towards your efforts. You as teachers nurture so many children and work
towards inspiring and motivating them for their own self. Presence of teacher is one’s life
makes it more meaningful and drives his or her intentions on to the right path.

Though a single day has been dedicated or announced to praise the efforts of teachers; bit I
would like to say you all that this entity ‘Teacher’ deserves the round of applause and
appreciation every second. They are the ones who built the nation’s literacy gap and nurture
the great citizens of the country.

Thank you teachers for existing in our lives and making it meaningful. You have been the parent
at school. Your presence in our lives has shaped our future for the betterment of our and the
overall country. Thank you for each and every thing that you have done.

Thank you! And, also a big thank to the entire audience for hearing me and also sharing your
views. Thank you!
SPEECH ON TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION – 1
Good Morning Teachers and My Loving Students – Warm Greetings to Everyone!

Teachers are a very integral part of our lives and they need to be rewarded for their efforts and
hard work. So as the Principal of this school I am here to present before you a speech on
teacher’s day celebration.

The date, i.e. 5th September is marked by the birthday of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and thus,
today we celebrate teacher’s day on his commemoration. Students like you across the world
celebrate this day with a lot of happiness and joy. You all present gifts and sweets to your
teachers as you all respect them for their efforts and work. Teachers teach the entire day and
neglect everything in their lives to make their students achieve something in their life and reach
great heights.
Being a teacher is not an easy task, teaching your students entire day without sitting on the
chair and understanding your strengths and weaknesses and then polishing it in the right
manner. Checking your assignments and registers and even taking them back home to
complete all of them on right time, this is what a teacher contributes in a student’s life. They get
back home and prepare lectures for the next day and also devise various methods so that every
student is well versed with the concept.

This helps in overall growth of the students and they get motivated to study in the right and
appropriate manner. In certain circumstances you as a student do get offended when your
teacher scolds you but you all should understand that they scold you to make you a smarter
human being and you do not repeat those mistakes again in life. They do this all for your own
good and for your successful careers.

Have you ever realized what your teacher gets in return doing so much of hard work? The
answer is nothing; they become happy when they see you achieving success in life. That’s the
moment for them when they feel that all their hard work that they had put in their students has
been achieved. It’s a saying that “when we grow a plant and nurture it and when it grows taller
it makes us happy”, in the same way teachers feel proud when they see you making successful
careers.

Teachers not only build a life of only one student but the entire generation through their ideas
and knowledge. If we get a great teacher, you as students never forget them your entire life
because you realize the fact that whatever you are today is all because of the hard work and
motivation that they had put in when you were in your growing up ages.

I hope my speech has motivated you to always respect your teachers as they are your gurus
without whom you can’t achieve anything in your life and always remember that teachers are
your second parents who are a guiding light in your and everyone’s lives.

Thank you everyone!

SPEECH ON IMPORTANCE OF TEACHERS – 2
Hon’ble Principal, Vice Principal, Teachers and Dear Students – Warm greetings to everyone!

As an alumnus of this school I am here to present before you a speech on importance of

teachers on the auspicious occasion of teacher’s day. Teachers are a backbone of any society
whether it is India or the world. I think you would believe me that whatever we have achieved in
our lives is all because of our teachers.

A teacher’s job is very challenging as they don’t only teach but they too need to do their
homework which includes checking your registers and pin pointing every mistake that you have
committed. This work becomes too challenging and responsible. If a teacher’s eye is not able to
catch even one mistake, then you all would commit the same mistake again. The teacher needs
to be too vigilant in order to correct your mistakes.

It is rightly pointed out that the first teachers in our lives are our parents, secondary to them
are the teachers in schools who act as a link between the school and the students. They are the
ones who recognize and understand our weaknesses and put all their efforts to rectify those
problems with us. We need teachers in every phase of our lives whether in schools or in
colleges. A teacher’s role is the one that nobody can understand. They never let us know that
they are facing certain issues in their lives. Once they enter the classrooms then it’s just them
and us. They have always kept their personal and professional lives separate and they never let
their problems hamper our studies and education.

They impart knowledge to the extent that every student understands the concept in an easy
and refined way. They mould us into better human beings that sometimes even our parents fail
to counsel us and they also go to the teachers to counsel us in the right manner. Our teachers
have always gone an extra mile to explain every bit of our doubts until we understand the
concept to the core.
They keep themselves updated with all the happenings around the world so that they can
share those things with us. Teachers spend their entire lives on us and they demand nothing in
return.

It’s important that we take a moment to admire and appreciate our teachers for whatever they
have been doing for us. Teacher’s day is the right occasion to explain them what they mean to
us and how important they are without whom our lives would have been meaningless. They are
guiding souls who never expect anything in return but pray for us so that we can be good
human beings and can achieve successful careers.

Thus, what they require from us is to study well which will in turn benefit us. We need to bring a
smile on their faces for whatever they have done for us. So always remember to respect and
value teachers in your lives.

Thank you everyone!

TEACHERS DAY SPEECH BY STUDENTS – 3

On the occasion of Teacher’s day, I Kunal Gupta is here to present a speech on our beloved
teachers!

Everyone will agree to the fact that teacher’s day is one of the exciting days in our lives and we
as students get an opportunity to teach and behave like our teachers. Many of our students
standing here are dressed in Sarees to teach in classrooms and act the same way our teacher’s
do. For our teachers they get an off today and have a chance to enjoy the day with their family
and friends, since whole year they spend their time with us forgetting their personal issues in
life.
We all know that it is difficult to define the term ‘teacher’. They not only guide us on the right
track but also help us to understand which career to choose as they understand us more than
anybody else in this world. They develop our overall character and personality which make us
confident individuals and provide us the strength to deal with all sorts of problem in our lives.

Teachers are like second parents who have a good influence on our lives and whenever we
need them they are always present there to help us to get out of a problem. All of us have some
day imitated our teachers as we believe them to be our role models as they provide us
everything we need to make ourselves a good personality.

There are certain qualities that every teacher possesses:

1. They Interact with Students: Interaction creates a bridge between us and teachers.
whenever we feel low we always think of our teachers and interaction helps us to overcome
those feelings. They not only impart knowledge regarding our subjects but they also share
experiences of their lives which help us to analyze our lives and apply the same advice.

2. Motivation and Enthusiasm: All teachers here would agree that whenever they enter the
classrooms they always come with a bright smile and full of energy which keeps us motivated
and active all day long. We admire our teachers and try to become like them.

3. Hard work and Dedication: Teachers are an inspiration for all of us. Their commitment
towards us which lets us grow and their confidence in us that we will get good marks make us
believe in ourselves and let us study with dedication as we think that we won’t let our teachers
trust break.

At the end I would just like to thank all my teachers for the hard work they put on us which
helps us to grow in a right manner. Teachers you all are our guiding force who won’t let us fall
and make us realize that after every failure there is success waiting for us so we shouldn’t give
up in our lives. With bottom of our hearts we would like to appreciate your efforts to make us
believe in ourselves and make us realize that we are on the right path towards our successful
future.

Thank You!

WORLD HEALTH DAY SPEECH – 1
Good morning respected principal, teachers and my dear friends,

I am obliged that my class teacher has selected me to address you all for today’s assembly. On
this world health day, my agenda is to create awareness amongst you all about this day.

This day is specifically celebrated to grab attention on the subject towards importance of the
global health. This day is marked by the World Health Organization. Each year the agenda of
celebrating this day is based on different criteria. Different varieties of events related to such
particular themes are organized on the international and national level by the WHO. Emphasise
of such special issues are taken care of annually with deep dedication. This day is celebrated
each year to create awareness about the health issues and health concerns amongst the entire
population.

We all should focus on adhering to good and healthy lifestyle. We should follow and promote
healthy living style and healthy living habits. As compared to the past trends and decades the
immunity level today has decreased a lot, this is majorly due to the natural climatic changes
and the inherited not so healthy lifestyle of ours. For our safety and well being we all should
monitor our activities like eating, sleeping, etc and ensure that we follow the standard desired
healthy living habits throughout. We should work on creating awareness amongst others as
well and must ensure to have a clean and healthy surrounding around for our well being and
the well being of others.
The basic objective and agenda behind celebration of world health day is to increase the public
awareness of various causes, to provide detailed knowledge of getting prevented from various
diseases, to motivate the worldwide health authorities to make their own efforts in creating the
healthy environments in their country and many more. Though, health is such a area that is to
be taken care now and then and is not specifically dedicated to be addressed on one single day
annually; but still many people out there deal with their health as not one on their priority list.

Two most common and easy modes of our health deterioration are our eating habits and the
natural air or the surroundings that we inherit each second in us. Being healthy is not our goal
it should be our living.

The most effective way of maintaining our health is having a regular habit of exercising.
Exercise helps an individual to build themselves strong within with natural inherited things. A
few basic things that help us in ensuring good health are: healthy eating habits, proper timely
sleep, regular routine for exercise, ample drinking of water, safe urinary habits, daily washing
habits, etc.

Please ensure to monitor each of your habit and create awareness amongst others as well.
Thank you everyone for being my audience and I hope we all together will eventually enable the
world be more aware and cautious about their healthy habits and wellbeing.

Thank you everyone!

WORLD HEALTH DAY SPEECH – 2

Greetings of the day everyone. Our organization has specially organized this health check up
campaign today. Before we all get busy with campaign, let me talk to you all about the reason
behind arranging this.

Today this campaign is being arranged on the occasion of the World Health Day. This day just
like today is always celebrated on 7th April. World Health Organization has necessarily declared
this day as the World Health Day so as to make sure that people get to be aware about the
health issues and concerns. We as individuals owe this responsibility to ourselves to ensure
that we live a healthy life by adopting healthy lifestyle and healthy habits.

People nowadays don’t take their health and the related issues too seriously as they know how
easy it is to visit a doctor and take one dose of medicine and get back to the perfect health.
They should realise that this medication deep down deteriorates our level of immunity and
makes it more prone to such diseases. Natural health and wellbeing is a very crucial thing to be
maintained throughout.

With the changing trends, corporates have specifically established their NGOs and corporate
associations so as to address one of the major issues of health that exists in the society at
present. There is no age bar on whose health is more at the stake of being impacted by natural
and personal deeds. Children, senior citizens, students, women, men, etc everybody has this
concern at stake for themselves. We all should ensure the adoption of best healthy habits for
ourselves and our near and dear ones.

A healthy diet and regular exercise routine is the best combination that one can adhere to for
leading a healthy and well versed life. Proper nutritional habits of eating should be adopted
since childhood for children so that since starting they have a strong immune system for being
future life.

World Health Day dedicatedly provides us all with an opportunity to come together for one day
every year to focus on actions that can improve the health of all our people and side by side
address all the key concerns of the health taking the verge of majority of people at present.

We all should make it our habit to everyday, think about the habits that we opted for that day;
from how much water we drank to did we exercise to the urinary habit that we adopted, etc. It
is only in our hands to make our life healthy and have a great immune system.

To all those who at present consume medicines for high blood pressure or any other disease
should focus on how to get rid of them through natural work and natural deeds for healthy life.
Now let’s get started and see our improvement areas and focus on how can be better our
health and lead a well versed healthy life for ourselves and our near and dear ones. Healthy
lifestyle and healthy surrounding is the key aspect of World Health Day.

Thank you!

SPEECH ON WORLD HEALTH DAY – 3

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen – I warmly welcome you all to the 7 th health program
organized by our managing committee.
This day is not only special because of the successful completion of 6 years of our NGO that
work towards spreading health awareness amongst the masses, but also because it’s the World
Health Day today. Since many of you perhaps not be knowing anything or much about this day,
I would like to address this topic in the speech ceremony of today. The World Health day, ladies
and gentlemen, is a national health awareness day which is observed on 7th April every year. It
is the World Health Organization (WHO), including other such organizations that lend its
support in celebrating this important day.
Since health should be of paramount importance for all of us and nothing should be prioritized
over or above it because it is said that a sound mind lies in a health body and in the absence of
good health and hence a sound mind he/she cannot build empires or contribute towards the
economic development of a nation-state. Therefore, with this realization the WHO in the year
1948 organized the first World Health Assembly. It is this assembly which decided to observe
7th April of every year from 1950 onwards as the World Health Day.
The World Health Day is organized to commemorate the founding of WHO and is also
perceived as an opportunity by the organization to draw the attention of people from all over
the world towards this crucial subject matter of global health year after year. There are various
global, national as well as local events being organized by the WHO based on a particular
theme. It is perceived by different governmental as well as non-governmental organizations
with interest in issues related to public health. On this day, such organizations as Global Health
Council, also organize different activities with complete support from the media. World Health
Day is one of the eight official campaigns of global health observed by WHO, in addition to
1. World Tuberculosis Day

2. World Immunization Week

3. World Malaria Day

4. World No Tobacco Day

5. World AIDS Day

6. World Blood Donor Day

7. World Hepatitis Day

As with every year there are different captivating themes to attract people’s attention, I would
also like to draw your attention towards these. In the year:

 2006: It was “Working together for health

 2007: Invest in health, build a safer future

 2008: Protecting health from the adverse effects of climate change

 2009: Save lives. Make hospitals safe in emergencies

 2010: Urbanization and health

 2011: Antimicrobial Resistance

 2012: Ageing and Health

 2013: Healthy Blood Pressure

 2014: Small Bite, Big Threat

 2015: Food Safety

 2016: Diabetes

 2017: Depression: Let’s talk

So as you can realize from the themes that an emphasis has been laid down on the overall
health and in fact mental issues, efforts have been put in by the WHO to help people combat
them so that they can build a good physical as well as mental health. In fact, we should also
contribute towards this cause as much as we can and try to build a disease-free society.
Thank You!

SPEECH ON WORLD HEALTH DAY – 4

Dear Society Members and Lovely Children – Warm Greetings to one and all!

As you all know why we have assembled here, i.e. to observe this great day called World Health
Day which is gaining a huge importance with every passing year amongst the people
worldwide. As we know the times are changing and life has become really fast-paced, especially
in the metropolitan cities. The desire to outdo others, to earn more money and to become the
most influential in society is what deriving people crazy due to which they have failed to achieve
a work-life balance in their lives.

Due to this imbalance and deteriorating food eating habits, people are becoming divorced from
a healthy, normal life and are living a mechanical lifestyle where work and even excessive work
load has replaced everything. In the day to day schedule, people don’t even have time to look
after their health, exercise and indulge in healthy food eating habits. As a consequence of which
they are becoming prone to severe health conditions. Even worse, due to overriding ambitions
and the constant struggle to realize those ambitions, people are living under excessive mental
pressure. Their inability to adapt to the highly competitive environment, thwarted efforts is
making them feel depressed and succumb to chronic mental conditions.

As this has become a global phenomenon which every country is grappling with, the need to
draw people’s attention towards World Health Day has become of paramount importance.
Friends, World Health day is celebrated every year on 7th of April under the aegis of World
Health Organization (WHO). In fact, this year’s World Health Day marks the 70 thanniversary of
the WHO.
Established in the year 1950, every annual celebration has a theme to draw people’s attention
towards the current global health concern. Interestingly, the WHO on this day puts together
local, regional as well as international events in connection with the chosen theme. Local
governments also try to be a part of this band-wagon because after all global health implies
each and every one! On this day, people are urged to walk a few extra miles out of concern for
their health and start a healthy diet or start the intake of multi-vitamins or consider going to the
gym.

Even better, you can volunteer in our local events or may organize one in our society. You can
also contribute to this day by simply spreading the word around about the importance of good
health and ill-effects of an unbalanced lifestyle. With every year, the WHO comes with a
different and compelling theme, but has always made sure to cover the most important issues,
such as Staying active while ageing, Global Polio Eradication, including even road safety. Every
such issue is deemed to be extremely important form the point of view of global health and so
they deserved a special limelight of their very own on this day.

In the end, all I want to say on this World Health Day is that I would like to urge my society
members to adopt a healthy lifestyle and also encourage others to do so because this is the
way we can bring if not big but at least some glimpse of change in our immediate surroundings.

Thank You!

IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION SPEECH 1

First of all I would like to say good morning to the respected teachers, parents and my dear
friends. I would like to speech on the importance of education which is must to know by all of
us. Education plays a great role in the life of everyone all through the life. Getting proper
education is very necessary to get success and happy life just like food is necessary for healthy
body. It is very important to live luxurious and better life. It develops personality of the people,
provides physical and mental standard and transforms people’s living status. It promotes the
feeling of physical, mental and social well being by providing better life. Good education is
constructive in nature which constructs our future forever. It helps a person to improve his/her
status of mind, body and spirit. It provides us lots of confidence by giving us bulk of knowledge
in many field. It is a single and vital way to the success as well as personal growth.

The more knowledge we get, we grow and develop more in the life. Being well educated never
only means to earn certificates and good salary from the recognized and reputed organisation
companies or institutions however it also means to be a good and social person in the life. It
helps us to determine whether something is good or bad for us and other persons related to
us. The first purpose of getting good education is being good citizen and then being successful
in personal and professional life. We are incomplete without a good education because
education makes us right thinker and correct decision maker. In such a competitive world,
education has become a necessity for human beings after food, clothe and shelter. It is able to
provide solutions to all problems; it promotes good habits and awareness about corruption,
terrorism, and other social issues among us.

Education is the most important tool offers inner and outer strength to a person. Education is
the fundamental rights of everyone and capable of bringing any desired change and upliftment
in the human mind and society.

Thank You

IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION SPEECH 2

Good morning to the Excellencies, my respected teachers and my dear friends. I would like to
speech over importance of education at this great occasion in front of you. Education is very
important to all of us. Our parents make us learn many things at home and then send us to
school after age of three years. Our home is first education institute where we learn how to
behave to others and other skills however school education is very necessary to be successful
in practical life. Through school education we learn and develop personality, mental skills,
moral and physical powers. Without proper education, one gets lack of all educational benefits
in his/her life. Education is the only key to success in personal and professional life. Education
provides us various types of knowledge and skills. It is a continuous, slow and secure process of
learning which helps us in obtaining knowledge. It is a continuous process which starts when
we take birth and ends when our life ends.

We should make our habits of learning always all through the life from our teachers, parents,
family members, friends and other related people in our life. We learn to become a good
person, learn to live in home, society, community and friend circle. Attending school and
receiving education is extremely vital for every person and necessary for those who want to
achieve success. We all take birth in same manner at the same planet however do not get same
opportunity to receive such type of formal education which may lead everyone of us towards
success because of the lack of money and knowledge of parents. One who gets proper
education becomes admired by the members of the family, community and country. Proper
education by all brings equality among human beings and removes the feeling of difference.
Education not only makes us able to learn about history, science, math, geography, and other
subjects however it makes us smart enough to learn how to live life and handle bad situations.

Thank You

IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION SPEECH 3

Good morning to the Excellencies, my respected teachers and my dear friends. As we have
gathered here to celebrate this special occasion, I would like to speech over the importance of
education. Good and proper education plays a great role in shaping our future and professional
career. It helps us to develop personality and earn recognition and respect in the family and
society. We can say that education is socially and personally an essential part of the human life.
We cannot ignore the importance of education in our life at any cost. As we see daily in the
society lots of social issues just because of the lack of proper education. Social issues like
inequality, gender discrimination, religious differences and so many problems are there
because of the lack of education in our life. Proper education helps us to maintain the personal
and social standards in daily life.

In such a modern, technological and competitive world, there is still the issue of education
among poor and uneducated people of the society which needs to be solved as soon as
possible. Education is the key to solve all the social, personal and professional problems of the
people. Proper and higher education makes us more civilized to live in the society. One cannot
make his/her good image in the society and live prosperous and happy life without getting
appropriate education. It makes us able to maintain the healthy surroundings. Now-a-days,
unlike ancient time, getting proper education has become easy and simple because of the
online system and correspondence facility in all the big universities. It has made education
system easy because of which poor people can also get education in their own field of choice.
There are many huge efforts and plan strategies by the government to maintain the quality of
education all over the India.

Education helps us to be healthy, save many lives, boosts economic growth, earn money, raise
quality crop, promote peace in the society, eradicate poverty, remove gender discrimination
and inequality, promote women and children rights, bring good governance, remove
corruption, make aware about fundamental rights and so many. Good education does not
mean to study hard and get good results however it is to conquer new things for the
betterment of whole mankind.

Thank You

IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION SPEECH 4

Good morning to the Excellencies, respected teachers and my dear friends. I would like to
speech over the importance of education at this special occasion. The real meaning of
education is much more than the success in personal and professional life. People in the
modern society have narrowed the meaning of education. It does not aim that educated people
gets professionally recognized instead it aims much more than this. It is not only to run in the
race to go ahead and read only the school or college syllabus. The education really means to
improve the physical, social and mental well-being, develop personality and improve skill level.
The aim of education is very vast and makes a person, good person.

In providing good level of education, teachers play very important role. Whatever we learn
through our parents and teachers goes with us throughout the life which we again pass on to
our next generation. The aim and benefits of proper education is not restricted to only personal
gains instead it benefits other people of the family, society and country. People in the society
have different meaning, needs and perceptions about the education however the real meaning
and importance of it never changes. A good education helps us all to be independent in the
society as well as get over of the problem of poverty. Many people do education passionately
and not as a workload. They love to read and develop their mind and skill. Some historical
people like Swami Vivekananda spent their whole life in getting education and sharing
knowledge among poor people of the society.
We too should get proper education by understanding its real value and get benefitted
completely. Our aim of getting education should be to help other needy people of the society to
get them over the weaknesses and superstitions. Education has unbelievable power which
keeps us away from evil powers, helps us in making self dependent and provides us new
possibilities and opportunities to become a problem solver and excellent decision maker. It
keeps our mind calm and peaceful by maintaining the balance among body, mind and soul.
Through the key of education one can open his/her difficult lock of the success. Many people do
hard work for whole day just to earn some money for getting two times of food in the absence
of good education. So, education is must for everyone of us to have a better and happy
lifestyle.
MY SCHOOL LIFE 1
Dear Friends – I hope this day finds you in the best of spirits!

Today on the speech giving day, I – Pratishtha Singh from Class-VIII (B) – would like to deliver a
speech on My School Life. I am sure we all will have something or the other to say about our
school lives. Isn’t it?

The very word ‘School’ carries a lot of emotions with it and we are transported to a world where
we spend half of our day studying, reading and writing, then enjoying other co-curricular
activities too such as sports, dance, music, etc. We imbibe a lot in the school environment
where our personalities and characters are shaped and we are prepared for the nation’s
building exercise. The foundation of our early years is very important as it informs our future
and this very foundation is being laid down by our school. I am in VIII standard at present and
so far my journey in this school has been excellent; in fact whatever I am today I owe it all to my
school.

I want to thank my parents for sending me to one of the best schools of our town and I also
want to thank our hon’ble principal and teachers for being so considerate all the time and
always working for the better prospects of their students. I especially want to thank my class
teacher for being so patient and kind with us and always showing ready nature for resolving
our queries. My school life has been best so far and there are no laments or regrets for
anything. My school has given me a lot many things, i.e. it has made me confident, independent
and knowledgeable. The fact that I have brought home awards and trophies in Science and
Maths subjects in Olympiad as well as inter-school competition; reveal a lot about my schooling
and the hard work that my teachers have put in towards our mental and intellectual growth.
There is no reason to doubt that if such school as ours continues to thrive all across the country
then no one can stop our nation from growing by leaps and bounds. Needless to say, a nations’
growth is directly proportional to the development of its youth and if the future of youth is laid
waste then no one can save the future of that nation from plunging into obscurity. And if the
youth thrives the nation also thrives. This is the reason why so much stress is laid down on
educating the youth and making them independent and imparting them different skills so that
employment can be generated and more and more of our youth can find the opportunities for
showcasing their talent and making their nation proud.

So I firmly believe that schools play a very important role in our society without the existence of
which any nation would be reduced to a state of gross barbarity.

This is all I have to say, thank you so much for being such a great audience.

MY SCHOOL LIFE 2
Hello Folks – Warm Greetings of the day to all of you!

I hope life is treating you well. Before I begin with the speech on My School Life, I want to thank
our class teacher for giving me the opportunity to speak in front of you all and deliver a speech.
I know this exercise will help remove all my inhibitions and give me enough confidence to
speak. The subject of my speech is interesting and does not require any preparation at all as it
will all flow from my heart.

What do I say about my school life? So far so good! The journey has been incredibly great and I
have quite evolved in these preceding 12 years so much so that I am now ready for the next
level challenges. Excitement is high in the air! After scoring highest marks in my 10 th board
exam, I am exhilarated and boosted with enough confidence to launch myself for the upcoming
challenges. I can say this because of the immense support I have received from all my teachers.
Had that support not been there I wouldn’t have brought this glory home.
Whatever I am today is all because of my teachers and nothing can take this credit away from
them. I am extremely thankful to my school for providing us with all the quintessential
resources needed for our growth and development. Whether it’s the libraries or labs, time to
time conducted workshops or our extra classes – everything has helped us a lot in getting
closer to our dreams. If we as students come across any hindrance in our studies we can
directly report it to our principal. The management is smooth and pretty systematic in our
school. It doesn’t take days and months to resolve our query as quick decisions and actions are
taken. This is the reason why our school has gone on to achieve benchmarks after benchmarks
and needless to say is counted amongst one of the best schools of Dwarka.

I can proudly say that my school is the best school and whoever passes out from this school is
bound to land successfully somewhere and will definitely make it to the best. The best part
about my school is that it doesn’t function with a view to ameliorate the immediate present, but
constantly works towards achieving a vision that it has envisaged for itself. If our future is
secure then we are secure and this is the primary goal of our school, i.e. to safeguard our future
by molding us in such a manner that we can derive strength from our own selves and overcome
any obstacle in life.

There couldn’t have been a better school for me than this which has greatly honed my skills and
showcased my talent so well that today I feel proud of my achievements and so are my
teachers and parents. In the end, I only wish for my school unbounded success and glory.

Thank you everyone!

MY SCHOOL LIFE 3
Greetings of the day everyone – I hope you are doing well!
Before I deliver speech on My School Life, let me welcome everyone to the speech ceremony of
today. The speech topic of today is My School Life and I am so excited to share my thoughts on
the same.

School life is an exciting phase in everyone’s life, I am sure you all will agree. In fact, my school
life has been so enriching that I cannot thank enough my parents for sending me to the best
school and of course my teachers for being such a guiding torch in the entire journey. My
teachers have been an influential factor in my life, helped shape my personality and shared a
lot with us from their immense reservoir of knowledge. Whatever I am today is all because of
my school and the kind of grooming they have given me in my early years.

Other than academics, I thoroughly enjoyed other co-curricular activities, such as being a part
of the basketball fraternity, cricket federation, debate society, etc. This entire journey has been
really exciting and I have grown as a person, as an individual. It is rightly said that “school life is
the best life” and this phrase sums up the whole crux of it because during the entire 12-year
period we learn something new and something innovating. School provides us with a stirring
environment where we grow; we learn; experience new things; make friends and gain the
confidence to face the world outside. It is therefore the best phase in a student’s life where
he/she greatly evolves and gain the ability to think critically.

School also teaches us discipline and the value of time without which we can never achieve our
aims and goals in life. The exams that we give during the school days help us prepare for the
big challenges in life. There is no reason for me to doubt that it is a place where we experience
an over round development of our being, where our scholastic abilities grow, where our
horizon widens and we are exposed to numerous possibilities of learning new things and
molding our personalities in the best way possible. Though every phase in our lives has its own
importance, but we can never imbibe as much as we do from our school lives because it is a
long 12-year journey. Isn’t it?

I can never get over the indelible impression that my school has left over me – that time of
waking up early morning, preparing for school, walking inside the classrooms, reading, writing,
finishing the assignments, appearing for the examination, participating in annual functions,
debate competitions and of course last but not the least sports too. Nothing was left untouched
as my school has taught me a lot, which I would never be able to thank my school for.

A good school always imparts value education to its students and this value education is not
confined to just books, but goes beyond that which helps a child his/her lifetime. This is all I
have to say.

Thank you so much!

MY SCHOOL LIFE 4
Dear Friends – Warm Greetings to all of you! Before we begin with the celebration today, please
allow me to honor our chief guest, principal, vice principal and all our teachers.

I am extremely glad to welcome everyone today at our school annual function. I, Pushkar
Chawla, from Class-XII (B), am your host for today and feel honored to have shared the stage
with my class teacher Dr. Naina Gupta who is truly an inspiration for me. This annual function is
indeed very special for all of us and we eagerly await this day for unbounded fun and
celebration. But this time friends, I promise you some extra doses of laughter and enjoyment
with some really engaging games.

Besides, I also would like to express my feelings today because this is our last year in school
and post that our higher secondary education would be completed and so our journey in the
school. Therefore, on this auspicious day I would like to say a few words for my school and
would also like to express my gratitude for bestowing on us the wealth of knowledge.

It feels like yesterday when I took admission in this school, but it was long 10 years back when
my father got me here. At that time I was a child and then my educational journey began. I
entered in X standard and now I stand here as a grown up individual waiting to emerge with
flying colors.

From learning to read and write, this school has taught me everything from the scratch. Here, I
have not just passed the examinations, but have learnt to overcome difficulties and be a strong
individual. We are not only taught lessons in class, but are given some precious lifelong lessons
which will stay with us all our lives. We are taught how discipline plays a key role in
accomplishing our goals and why it is important to value time. Then other than academics, we
are pushed to be a part of other co-curricular activities. Whereas I excelled in basketball, my
other friends excelled in cricket, some in dance, some in music, etc. Inter school competitions
were often organized so that we can learn to compete in a healthy manner and can best realize
our potential.

We were given ample opportunities to showcase our talent and skill. It is all because of this that
we are confident individuals and have learnt to conduct ourselves in the world outside. Had this
school not been there as our backbone and as our firm support, we wouldn’t have been the
kind of personalities that we are today, i.e. strong and dynamic. A school therefore plays a
really significant role in laying the scholastic foundation of a child and I feel lucky enough to
have been sent to such a school as this is a place where every child is nurtured with a lot of care
and attention.

In the end all I want to say is that I am a proud student of our ABC School. Now, let the show
begins.

Thank you!
