ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

Every learning institution has its own story to tell. Each has its own
strengths and challenges by which context of teaching and learning influences
the processes and procedures of the school in making decisions around
curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Education believes that environment plays a big part in pupils’
learning. And so, if classrooms are not conducive to learning because of poor
condition and some defective school facilities, education is hindered.
The school is an institution which is responsible in molding the pupils
into a responsible individual in the society. This is where learner is crafted
into a better person, who will be an emblem of the kind of learning center
where we was raised or grow.
The Department of Education (Deped) will conduct the 2019 Brigada
Eskwela from May 20 to 25, 2019 eith the theme “Matatag na Bayan para sa
Maunlad na Paaralan”.The Brigada Eskwela is a National schools Maintenance
Week, that aims to prepare the school with the help of the education
stakeholders to participate and contribute their time, effort, and resources to
prepare public school facilities for the opening of the school year in June.
Believing that the community cannot stand without the school, and
likewise the school without the community. We greatly believed that the
school is the face of the barangay. Thus all the people in the community even
those whose children were not studying in the school, gave a hand and
volunteered to support the program.
Quirino Central School is situated at Barangay Poblacion formerly known
as “legle”, Quirino, Ilocos Sur which compose two sitios that support the
enrolment, Saoil and Dagman. The barangay is located on the East of Tirad
Pass, bounded on the East of Abra River, on the North by Barangay Cayus and
on the South by Barangay Suagayan. It is a rural area with a total population
of 2,393 as of 2018.
Early morning of May 20, the teaching staff of Quirino Central School
held a short program. The presence of different groups of volunteers was
acknowledged. Short orientation about the mechanics of the 6-day activity
was given by Mrs. Charlotte F. Patil-ao, Head Teacher III. Finally the opening
of the Brigada Eskwela was announced. The willing, ready and able brigade
included zealous teachers, enthusiastic parents, excited pupils, and other
concern people of the community. Therefore, for without them the following
activities would not have been made possible:
1. Cleaning and beautification of the following:
- SPG Park
- Children’s Park
- Science Park
- School Ground
2. Pruning/Trimming of trees around the school
3. Fixing of garbage disposal
4. Cleaning of classrooms, office and canteen
5. Weeding of Grounds and Gulayan sa Paaralan
6. Cleaning of Chairs, bulletin board display
7. Dusting, Sweeping of rooms and sorting of papers
8. Removing of clutters, sorting and repairing of chairs
9. Repairing of Electrical outlet, replacement of fluorescent bulb
10. Gardening of GPP and PTA Garden
11. Painting in different areas
12. Color coding of chairs
