RULES FOR THE GUIDANCE OF CANDIDATES

1. Examinaton will commence and be held according to the programme notfed from the ofce of the Controller of Examinatons,
University of Gour Banga.
2. In the morning of the frst day of the examinaton, the examinaton hall will be opened one hour earlier than the appointed tme but
on all subsequent days only 15 minute earlier and the doors will be closed 5 minutes before the commencement of the
examinaton.
3. A candidate who is late by 20 minutes, may be admited to the examinaton hall at the discreton of the Center-in-charge.Under no
circumstances, shall a candidate who is late by more than 20 minutes be allowed to sit for the examinaton.

4. No candidate shall be allowed to leave the examinaton hall within one hour of the commencement of the examinaton.
5. Answer paper(s) even if blank, are to be handed over to the Invigilator and must not be lef on the desk.
6. Except blank answer books, additonal sheets, blotng papers and graph papers, the University will supply no other materials for use
in the examinaton hall. Log tables will be supplied , if necessary.
7. On the answer book(s) the candidate shall write the name of the examinaton, subject, paper, date, his /her University Registraton
Number and Examinaton Roll number only. Under no circumstances his/her name or college should be mentoned on the answer
book.
8. The candidate will be allowed to the examinaton hall only with this Admit Card, the University Registraton Certfcate and drawing
implements which may be required for answering questons.
9. To draw the atenton of the invigilator, a candidate should only stand up. Under no circumstances any tapping on the desk will be
allowed.
10. The Admit Card and Registraton Certfcate are to be shown and signature be given when the Center-in-Charge directs.
11. The candidate must write on the both sides of each page of the answer book.
12. The candidate must not borrow drawing instruments, pencils, erasers, blotng paper etc. from other candidates in the examinaton
hall.
13. Notwithstanding the issue of Admit Card, the University reserves to itself the right to cancel admission to any examinaton
before,during or afer such examinaton.
14. For any unfair means atempted or adopted by the candidate or breach of any of the rules above or any act of indiscipline, he/she is
liable to be reported against by the Center-in-Charge and his/her examinaton may be cancelled by the University.
15. Any alteraton made in the entries on the Admit Card without the authentcaton of the University shall render the candidate liable
to be disqualifed to sit for this or any subsequent examinaton.
16. Correcton(s) of any kind on the Admit Card is/are to be made before the commencement of the examinaton.
17. Cell phone is strictly prohibited in the examinaton hall. A candidate carrying Cell phone(s) in the examinaton hall is liable to be
reported against by the Center-in-charge.
