These are not traditional pranayama techniques, but they still utilize the breath and affect your prana.

You may occasionally experience some negative emotions while performing these breaths. This is your
body’s way of healing and processing them. By expelling air and sound, you are expelling negative
energy as well. That being said, if the emotions are too strong, stop this practice and return to normal
breathing
TECHNIQUE:
Sit up in a kneeling position. Open your knees and sit back on your heels. Relax your body, but keep
your eyes open
Place your palms on the floor between your knees with your fingers facing towards you
Straighten your arms and arch your back, tilting your head back to look up
Inhale fully
For Roaring Lion
Open your mouth and stick out your tongue as far as you can, while bringing your head back to
facing straight ahead
As you exhale, make an “ah” sound with your tongue still out, like you do when the doctor is
checking your throat. Let the sound flow freely without strain, and keep your eyes and mouth as
wide open as possible
For Lion’s Breath
Open your mouth and stick out your tongue as you squeeze your eyes shut
Forcefully exhale
Lion’s breath can be done in a variety of postures, not just kneeling
