Assignment 1
Therefore in order to ensure the user-friendliness of this new system, worry no more
because we will be guiding you with the following instructions! Here’s what to do:
When you visit any shops, they provide a machine which we called a ‘card reader’.
You will have to insert the card into the machine in order to do any kind of
payment. Also the shopkeeper will guide you step by step procedures.
A card reader looks like a medium-sized calculator with a slot which can be fitted
by the card. It can then swiped into the slot for card recognition.
You will be prompted to enter a set of PIN codes by pressing the number pads
available on the machine. After it is entered, follow the on-screen instructions and
complete the processes.
(PIN stands for Personal Identification Number. It is a set of secret numbers
defined by the card user. Pressing the numbers by the meantime will display
asterisk **** on the screen. If a ‘MISTAKE’ message is displayed, you will have to
press the CLEAR button and try again.
If you have invalid password pressed 3 times, your card will be disabled and you
will not be able to use your card until you phone our customer support:
