Manual de Vip Acces
If you are using a hard token (instead of a smartphone or tablet), please skip to the Self-
Service Portal Instructions on page 2.
1. To begin the process of installing Validation and Identification Protection Service (VIP),
navigate to the App Store on your smartphone or tablet (iPhone, Android, Windows).
2. In the search field, type “VIP Access” and, when it opens, select “Get,” then click on
“Install.” The VIP Access icon looks like this:
3. Open up the VIP Access application on your smartphone or tablet. It should look similar
to this:

4. Once installed, follow these instructions to register your device on the Self-Service
Portal.
3. Choose the “email” method to have your security code sent to your business email. You
will then be redirected to the screen below. Next, click “Continue.”

The email with your temporary code will resemble this:
4. Go back to the Self-Service Portal website and enter the six-digit, temporary security
code provided within the email. Click “Sign In.”

5. On the following screen, click “Register.”

For smartphone or tablet: Enter in a common name such as “John’s Phone” as the
Credential Name. Then enter the Credential ID (this is the number that starts with
“VSMT from the VIP Access app on your phone, as shown below) and the six-digit
security code (from the VIP Access app, also seen below).
For hard token: Enter in a common name such as “John’s Hard Token” as the Credential
Name. Then enter the Credential ID that is located on the back of the hard token. Then,
press the grey button on the front of the hard token to receive the six-digit security
code to register your device, as seen below. The number will be visible and valid for 30
seconds from the time you press the gray button.

7. Click “Submit.”
8. The next screen you should see will show the device as being successfully registered.
(Note: You are allowed to register two devices under your profile.)

Please call your local Help Desk or Service Desk if you encounter any problems in registering your
device(s).
