Introductions

A. Background
Because the progressif of the world and the progress of technology
information, every nation like don’t have on a border or globalisation. Globalitation
makes competition of a multination on the world is getting tougher. Because of this
condition, every nation need international language to making easy comunication of
one nation to other nation. Same condition is .happened for engineers. International
language is needed for followed the progress of technology in the world.
However, haven’t a lot of people knowed about the history and development
of english that be an international languge. Because of that, this paper is prepared.
The function of prpared this paper is to know the history and the development of
englsh, specially in engineering. Further more, the function is to know the
engineering aspact of english in engineering.
More over, to fulfill the assignement of the english in engineering, this paper
was prepared with the theme introduction the english in engineering. In additional,
to answer our curiosty about the history and function of the use of english in the
world of engineering is one of the back grounds in the praparation of this paper.

Based on those exposure, we formulated the problem for this :
1. How the history and development of english in engineering?
2. What is engineering aspact of english in engineering?
3. What is the definition of english in engineering?
C. Purpose
The purpose of this paper is:
1. To know about the prespektif of history english in engineering
2. To understand aout the aspact engineering of english in engineering.
3. To know about the definition english in engineering.

Discussion

A. The history of english in engineering

The word “English” comes from the name of the angles : englas. Angles is
one of the kingdom in British. On those time, British had control over under anglo-
saxon kingdom. The Anglo is more dominated. Because of that, English is
simplyficated from angles : Anglo.
Anglo is from germanik that landed in British area on 5th countury. After that,
on 10th countury vikings nation is determinated in British. Because of that, english
is influenced by them with norse languge.
On the progress, england is became a super power in the world in 1550. As a
result, the colon of england is influenzed by english. Pasca colonialisme, many
country has making english to be lingua franca. This decision was taken to avoid
political conflict.
On 1550, USA that was taken english to be lingua franca is determination
culture and technology. As a consequence, the english is more widespread in use.
Because of english as lingua franca, this is influenze every sector, especially
knowledge. On sains and technology, particularly engineering. it must taked
english to adjust the progress of technology information.

B. Engineering aspect of english in engineering

Basicly, engineering aspect of englsish in engineering is devided by :
1. Numbers
Numbers are a mathematical object used to count, measure, and label.
The number is include by:
a. Decimals and fractions
b. Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

2. Shapes (the form of an object).

3. Distance
Distance is how far one thing is from another thing.

4. Dimensions
Diminsions are the way we see, measure, and experience our world.

5. Technology
Technology is something people do, to get a result they need or want.
6. Materials
Materials are what every thing that you can touch made of.

7. Tools
Tools are things used to make tasks easier.

8. Informations technologies and computer sience

Information technology and computer sience is a term that
encompasses all forms of technology used to create, store, exchange, and used
information in it various forms.

9. Health and safety at work

Health and safety at work are a state of complete physical, mental and
social well-being and not merely the absence of dieses that we have at work.

10. Vehicles in general

Vehicles are a machine to move people and things.

Vehicle heavy equipement is a vehicle that specially designed for
completing constraction tasks involving digging.

English is international langugge and it was maked by some country.
English was maked in engineering to easlier the communication. So, learning
english is so important, espacially for engineer rather mechanical, civil, or
electrical engineering.
