We are the largest Online Facebook HR Community with over 120,000 members across

Our group was founded with the hopes of helping HR and non-HR professionals to have
a better understanding of different HR practices and its importance to an organization.

About the Event
One of the critical skills that every HR Professional must possess is an in-depth
understanding of the Labor Laws. It is essential in the said profession as it is incorporated
in every facet of HR, from Recruitment to Separation.

Furthermore, as the labor law changes and improves its application in the workplace, it
is necessary for HR to keep abreast as to the latest and current implementation of the
labor laws.

The Updates on Labor Laws is a one-day #LearningEvent organized by the Philippines HR

Group that aims to provide up-to-date knowledge and information in terms of the
Principles and Essentials of Labor Laws and Employee Relations. This covers discussions on
DOLE Inspections, Basic Principle of Labor Law, Due Process, and Employment Contracts.

There will also be a practical discussion on the Primer of Data Privacy Act and the
Telecommuting Law.

In this #LearningEvent, participants will learn the application of the afore-mentioned sub-
topics in the workplace. They will also learn some of the best practices in promoting a
harmonious relationship in the workplace as the foundation of a good employer-
employee relationship.

As a tradition of excellence, we have invited experts, industry leaders and renowned

speakers who will be facilitating the whole day #LearningEvent.

Speakers’ Profile

Atty. Jericho (Jake) Del Puerto is a lawyer, author,

and mentor.

He is the Managing Partner of Del Puerto and

Partners Law, a law firm focused on helping
businesses grow and expand through creative
legal solutions in order for them to accomplish
their goals and objectives. He is motivated
helping out startups and new enterprises who are
solving problems and generating value to the
marketplace.

He has authored five books, with the latest one

entitled Labor Law Playbook, the book that lays
down strategies to protect businesses form labor
complaints. As he likes to write, he is now in the
process of writing a handbook for employers on
data privacy.

He enjoys mentoring students on labor law, data privacy, contracts, and business laws.
Having previously been an MBA Law Instructor at San Beda University, he finds it fulfilling
to teach and author books while applying his own lessons into his private law practice.

Atty. Nes Patrick K. Señor is a lawyer and is currently the
Legal & Compliance Head of FutureNow Ventures, a
boutique venture capital firm focusing on tech startups
and fast growth companies.

He previously served as a Legal Compliance Officer of

a publicly-listed financial institution. He was responsible
for the implementation of Regulatory Compliance,
Corporate Governance and Data Privacy programs
across the institution’s group of companies. Prior to this,
he was part of a leading law firm and was involved in
the firm’s corporate, labor and litigation practice areas.

As a privacy advocate, he participated in various public

consultations organized by the National Privacy
Commission, particularly on the draft Implementing
Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Data Privacy Act (prior to its release in 2016).

He also took part in the very 1st Multi-functional Data Privacy Summit held last year. The
2-day event focused on other equally critical facets of compliance i.e strong
collaboration across various departments: Legal, Audit & Risk Management, IT, Finance
& Accounting, and HR, to ensure a robust Data Privacy Compliance structure, plan and
execution.

Atty. Helen Paulette T. Hombrebueno is currently a

Senior Lawyer at the Respicio & Co. Law Firm. She has
been in the legal profession for more than eight (8)
years and is actively involved in the litigation of civil,
criminal, and administrative cases.

She is also a budding entrepreneur. She recently

started her food delivery business which caters to
employees in the graveyard shift. She is also an
exclusive distributor of Young Living Philippines, a
direct selling company of premium essential oils.

She is married to an I.T. Professional and has two (2)

children.

5. Deadline for depositing the learning investment is on March 25, 2019. First, come-first
serve, meaning the first to complete their payments will secure their seats first.

6. Upon settlement of the learning investment, kindly send a screenshot/scanned copy

For multiple participants in one deposit, please indicate the complete names of the

7. An Acknowledgement Letter will be provided within 2-3 working days upon receipt of
the deposit slip. This will also serve as the Event Ticket.

8. Official Receipts shall be provided on the day of the #LearningEvent.

9. The Philippines HR Group (PHRG) shall reserve the right to postpone the
#LearningEvent due to force majeure.

11. For the learning investment to be refunded with less 30% processing charge,
cancellation should be made not less than seven (7) days before the seminar date.

12. No show or failure to inform cancellation will result in forfeiture of the full amount paid.

13. Learning investment may be refunded upon presentation of the original copy of the
bank deposit slip and a valid ID.

14. Certificates will only be given to those who have attended the seminar. Those who
registered but will not attend the seminar will not be given a certificate.

15. Upon registration on the day of the #LearningEvent, your seat/s will be reserved but
there will be no seating arrangements, preferred seats will be on a first come, first
served basis.

16. Event starts at 8:00 AM. All participants are asked to please come 15-30 minutes early
