Title of Project: “S.H.A stands for SHARING, HELPING and ACTIVE MEMBERS of the COMMUNITY:
A Community Outreach Program”

Project Beginning Date: December 1, 2018 Project Completion Date: December 23, 2018
Purpose/Objectives:
To engage in the valuable work and develop self-confidence and a sense of
empowerment that comes from reaching out and helping others.
To build teamwork, cooperation and diversity skills.
To practice good citizenship by making a difference in the community.

Reason for Selection:


The students of SACRED HEART ACADEMY are ready to plan and organize their own
community service activities with the guidance of the teachers. Volunteering allows
youth to succeed in an area different from academics, athletics or popularity. It helps
create a sense of self-worth as youth share their skills, talents and efforts. They begin to
see themselves as members of the community and take step forward in learning about
their responsibility to the world.

Completion Strategies:
Raise funds to help the unfortunate families by means of CHRISTMAS CAROLLING that
was approved by the Principal and the School Administrator.
Collect and donate CLOTHES, TOYS, BACKPACKS or SCHOOL SUPPLIES for a relocated
homeless family.
Organize and promote a Community-Wide CLEANUP DAY.
Make a FEEDING PROGRAM for those homeless children.
Make a presentation about youth who are involved in community service activities.
