Ejercicio 1. Configurar NI Instrument Simulator

Objetivo

 Configurar alias VISA

Introducción

El NI Simulador de Instrumentos es ideal para demostrar control de instrumentos por


GPIB y serial basado en PC. Ya que simula la operación de un osciloscopio y un multímetro
digital (DMM), permite generar prototipos de aplicaciones GPIB y serial. Funciona con
direccionamiento primario y secundario, generación de formas de onda - ASCII y binario (uno
y dos byte con intercambio de byte), protocolo 488.2 SRQ y datos ASCII con encabezados.

En LabVIEW, VISA es una librería de funciones que nos permitirá conectarnos con
distintos tipos de interfaces, tales como GPIB, USB, Ethernet y serial. Su principal ventaja es
que no necesita paletas especiales de entrada y salida para programar un instrumento.

Desarrollo

1. Apague su NI Instrument Simulator, y poner en modo CGF el switch de la parte trasera.

2. Encender su NI Instrument Simulator y ejecutar el programa Instrument Simulator


Wizard.

3. Dar Next e ir seleccionando todas las opciones por default.

4. Al terminar de dejar las configuraciones por default, apagar el NI Instrument Simulator
y cambiar a NORM el switch de la parte trasera. Volver a prender el dispositivo y
revisar que los indicadores de POWER y RDY estén encendidos en verde.

5. Ejecutar el programa NI MAX.

6. Ubicarse en la parte izquierda de la pantalla, y dar clic en My System/Devices and


Interfaces/GPIB-USB-HS”GPIB0”/Instrument Simulator.

7. Dar clic en la pestaña “VISA properties”, y en “VISA Alias on My System” escribir el
nombre NIsimulator. Dar click en el botón Save para guardar los cambios.

8. Cerrar NI MAX y si pide guardar cambios dar aceptar.

Ejercicio 2. Simular Generador de Funciones y Osciloscopio

Objetivo

 Simular un generador de funciones en nuestro NI Instrument Simulator


 Simular un osciloscopio en nuestro NI Instrument Simulator
 Verificar el funcionamiento de generador de funciones y osciloscopio simulados en
conjunto

Desarrollo

1. Abrir el VI llamado “Generador de funciones y Osciloscopio” ubicado en la carpeta de


la práctica.

2. Abrir el diagrama de bloques del VI.

3. En la primera parte del diagrama de bloques observamos que se seleccionará el
dispositivo con el que nos conectaremos, y también configuraremos los parámetros
para inicializar nuestra comunicación con el dispositivo seleccionado.

4. Observamos que tenemos un ciclo while, en el cual se estará generando, muestreando


y graficando nuestra señal deseada de forma constante.

5. En la primera parte del ciclo while se generará la señal en nuestro generador de


funciones simulado, para lo que le pediremos al usuario en el panel frontal los
parámetros de la señal deseada.

6. En la segunda parte de nuestro ciclo while, muestrearemos la señal previamente
generada, para esto únicamente se le pide al usuario desde el panel frontal cuanto
tiempo de la señal se va a muestrear. Lo multiplicaremos por 1000 para tener la
medida en segundos.

7. Al final del ciclo while, se procesará la señal muestreada, y se graficará. Es importante


mencionar que al estar todos los parámetros de generación y muestreo de la señal
dentro del ciclo while, mientras se esté ejecutando el VI el usuario podrá cambiarlos e
identificar los cambios de forma instantánea en la gráfica de la señal.

8. Por último en nuestro diagrama de bloques se finaliza y se cierra sesión en nuestra
comunicación con nuestro dispositivo.

9. Regresar al panel frontal del VI, en el campo de “nombre del recurso VISA” escribir el
alias previamente asignado a nuestro NI Instrument Simulator, que fue NIsimulator.

10. Correr el VI. Cambiar los distintos parámetros de generación y muestreo de la señal.

11. Detener el VI con el botón STOP.
