V5000 G4
Talking Points
• Forcepoint™ provides up-to 5 years of support for hardware under warranty, which includes V5000 G3
units (soon to be discontinued). Ensure your customers have the appropriate appliance warranties to
keep them secure and fully-supported.
• The new V5000 G4 supports Forcepoint TRITON® APX product versions 7.8.4, 8.0.1 and higher, and
ships with version 8.2.0 pre-installed.
o Customers with appliance needs running previous versions of TRITON APX are
encouraged to upgrade to the latest version or purchase the V5000 G3 while supplies
last. Only upgrade patches for 8.2.0 and higher are certified when reimaging the V5000
G4 for 7.8.4, 8.0.1 and 8.1.0 APX solutions.
• The appliance migration path for V5000 G2 (R1), V5000 G2 (R2) or V5000 G3 is the V5000 G4.
• Forcepoint has not yet determined the last-supported software release (LSR) for the V5000 G3 model.
New versions of Forcepoint APX products will be certified and supported for the V5000 G3 until the
LSR is determined, which we expect to publish approximately 3 years after the end-of-sale (EOS) date.
• Now is the perfect time to educate customers looking for advantages of the Cloud about Forcepoint’s
Cloud-based Web and Email Services.
