A warm welcome With the 70th Anniversary of D Day fast approaching, and the Centenary of the
www.stephaniestherapies.co.uk awaits you outbreak of World War One (the so-called war to end all wars), we are frequently
being reminded of the acts of heroism of many by the attention that is being given
to refurbishing the memorials of these conflicts. After World War One many railway
companies named their locomotives with titles such as ‘Valour’ and ‘Remembrance’
to name just two. One class that has not been
preserved is the Patriot class. However, a new one is
being built for completion in 2018. It is to be named
‘The Unknown Warrior’, which I think is very fitting.
While not in any way detracting from the many acts of
heroism that we hear about, this choice of name
reminds us of the unsung heroes of the various conflicts
who are ‘Known unto God’, as their headstones
declare. May they be an inspiration to us to search for peace in our hearts and
minds as we remember them and, that they gave their freedom, liberty and life
that we might enjoy the same. May we also remember that the RBL exists to
support them and their families.

Over the Farmer’s Hedge: Spring at Trumpington Farm Company
Farming: The main crop this year is wheat, which is looking very well following
such a mild winter and spring. The sugar beet in the fields to the north of the

the peas in Shelford are doing well despite the best efforts of the pigeons.

worth 20% of the cycle’s value: cheap cable locks are very easy for thieves to cut
