1 Students are to pay all course fees and any bank charges incurred in clearing transferred funds.
2 Tyne Coast College will pay for one CAS Reference from the fee. Subsequent charges are to be met by the

of your visa application is known, a copy of the visa or full refusal document should be sent to us.
9 Late entrants will not be accepted past the last acceptance date. These students and no-shows are required to
be reported to the UKVI.
UK VISA AND IMMIGRATION ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS
It is a UKVI requirement that students will be required to provide evidence of their competence in English.
We will be unable to issue a CAS REFERENCE without you providing us with valid evidence of results from an approved
test. Details of approved test providers can be found at the below website:
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/261533/new-approved-english-tests.pdf
We are now unable to accept high school certificates, or use the fact that you have studied here before.
For visa applications for course duration over 6 months only the IELTS for UKVI test is acceptable by Tyne Coast College
for English language purposes:
For IELTS for UKVI (http://takeielts.britishcouncil.org/ielts-ukvi) we have a new minimum score criteria of:
Overall band score – 5.5, Listening 5.0, Speaking – 5.0, Reading – 5.0, Writing – 5.0
We may also accept an overall band score of 5.0 providing that there is no more than one category with a score of no less
than 4.5. For those candidates whose scores fall into this category will be required to undertake mandatory English
language classes at STC at a cost of £200, additional to the course fees.
From 6 April 2015 you must take the test at an IELTS test centre authorised to run IELTS tests for UK visa and
Immigration purposes (IELTS for UKVI) and you must confirm at the time of registration that you wish to use your test for
these purposes.
You can either book UKVI IELTS Academic or UKVI IELTS General. Either of these are acceptable but we recommend
that candidates undertake the UKVI IELTS Academic since the reason for entering the UK is for study purposes at the
College.
We are unable to issue any student CAS REFERENCE to enable you to apply for your visa until you have supplied us
with the details we require to process your application.
TUBERCULOSIS SCREENING
We would like to advise you of the new system that the UK Visa and Immigration have in place for testing students for
tuberculosis before entry into the UK.
If you want to travel to the UK for longer than 6 months you must be screened and obtain a certificate from an approved
clinic to show that you are free of TB before you make a UK visa application in the categories listed above.
There will be a fee for the diagnostic tests which can be found on the specific country detail links below. The certificate will
usually be valid for 6 months. If you are tested positive for TB you will be referred for treatment. You will not be permitted
to travel to the UK until you have been tested as being free of TB, including following successful treatment.
