COMMON FARM EQUIPMENT

These are machineries used in crop production. They are


used in land preparation and in transporting farm inputs and
products. This equipment need a highly skilled operator to use.
1.Hand tractor is used to pull a plow and harrow in preparing a
large area of land.

2.Four-wheel tractor is used to pull disc plow and disc harrow in


preparing much bigger area of land.
3.Water pumps are used to draw irrigation water from a source.

4.Threshing machine or a thresher is a piece of farm equipment


that threshes grain, that is, it removes the seeds from the stalks
and husks.
5.Corn dehusker machine is a kind of multifunctional machine. It
can peel the skin and remove the corn from the cob. It is high
frequency and can be connected with kinds of tractor.

6.Rice/Corn Combine Harvester makes the harvesting process


easier by combining six operations such as gathering, transporting,
reaping, threshing, cleaning and bagging into one machine. It is the
modern and efficient way of harvesting rice.
7.Grass cutter is a device used to cut grass, as a lawn mower.

8.Rice Seeder is for sowing germinated paddy seed directly in


wetland field.
9.Rice mill machine - remove the impurities from rice by removing
husk and bran layers.
