Removal Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the 
component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal 
mechanism.  

1. Loosen the track tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual.

2. Position track master link (1) , as shown. Install suitable cribbing under the track shoe (2) .

3. Remove track bolts (3) in order to remove track shoe (4) .

4. Remove track master links (5) .

cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may 
be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or 
damaged, use new parts for replacement.

1. Check the location of marking (6) on the end of the cartridge pins. The marking should be located 
near the link rail and opposite the track shoe. If the orientation is not correct, use Tooling (A) in 
order to rotate the cartridge pin to the correct position. Apply Tooling (B) to track master links 
(5) . Install track master links (5) .

2. Use Tooling (A) to tighten track bolts (3) in a clockwise direction to ()300 ± 25 N·m (221 ± 18 lb 
ft). Use Tooling (A) to tighten track bolts (3) for an additional 90°. Tighten track bolts (3) for an 
additional 90° again. Tighten track bolts (3) for an additional 90° again. Tighten track bolts (3) for 
an additional 90° again. Turn each track bolts (3) for a total of 360°.

3. Position track master link (1) . Install suitable cribbing under track shoe (2) . 

4. Tighten the track tension. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual.
