About The Course

The course module provides an overall view of the concepts, techniques and implications
of computer Aided Design and Manufacture. Hands-on sessions to participants in order
for them to have a feel and experience on the wider potential of this technology.

Course Objective
On completion, participants will be able to:
 Identify applications for CAD techniques with functions.
 Recognize the relative merits of different geometicrepresentation systems.
 Recognize the relationship between CAD and CAM.
 Outline the implication from the introduction of this type of technology into a
company.

17. Turning Job Setting


 Set the tool boundaries for stock and chuck.
 Machine Definition setting.
 Set the reference point.

18. Turning Toolpath Definition-face, Rough, Finish and Quick


 Definition of 2D Tool Path – Facing, Roughing, finishing and Quick.
 Tool Parameter Definition.
 Machinning Parameter setting.

19. Turning Tool Path Definintion – Drill, Thread and Cut Off
 Machining Parameter Definition.
 Machining with Drill Toolpath.
 Understand the type of thread.
 Cut Off the finishing part.
20. Tool Parth Editing and Verification
 Asssociation of Geometries with Tool Path.
 Display of Cutting Parth.
 Tool Parth simulation with solid.

21. Post Processing


 Preparation of NC codes.
