Compressed Gas Cylinder Storage

Compressed gas cylinder storage safety tips were provided. Cylinders should always be secured in storage with chains or straps. Stored oxygen must be separated from stored fuel gas by a 6 foot wall with a 1⁄2 hour fire rating or be at least 20 feet apart. The tips were included in a weekly safety email from the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries to promote worker health and safety in the scrap recycling industry.
