Objectives

At the end of 60 minutes period, the students will be able to:

a. identify the pronoun/s in the sentence;

b. complete the given sentences with the correct pronoun;

c. appreciate the importance of pronoun in constructing a sentence.

II. Subject Matter

Topic: Pronoun

Reference: College English for Today Book 1Pages No(s): 219-220

Instructional Materials: visual aids

III. Procedure

A. Preliminary Activities

1. Prayer

The teacher will choose a student to lead the prayer.

2. Greetings

3. Energizer

The teacher will play a dance video entitled “Up and Down”

4. Checking of Attendance

The class secretary will be requested to check the absent in the class.

5. Setting of Classroom Standards

The teacher will ask the students on what are those things that should

be considered if the class is going on.

6. Passing of Assignment

The students will pass their assignments at the count of 10.


B. Motivation

The teacher will show a paragraph with missing words and the students

will complete it using pronouns.

C. Activity

The students will be grouped into three. With the use of pronouns, group1

will present it through short action drama; group 2 will present it through

pageant and group 3, through reporting. Students will present a short yell

before their presentation.

D. Analysis

Why do we replace pronoun into a noun?

E. Abstraction

The teacher will discuss her topic about Pronoun and its kinds

1. Personal pronouns

2. Reflexive pronouns

3. Possessive pronouns

4. Intensive pronouns

5. Interrogative pronouns

6. Indefinite pronouns

F. Application

Complete the sentences using the correct pronouns.

IV. Assessment:

A. Identify the pronoun/s in the sentence.
