EFFECTIVE LISTENING
GROUP WORK  (30%)

Written reflection based on a Talk Show 
Date set : October 9/2019
(Due  : 23­25 /2019

In groups of 4­5,view a talk show from any TV show ( local / international ).
The talk show should have at least 3­4 panelists.
The topic of the talk show should stem from important issues that are currently addressed
in the mass media / world. 
Present the talk show in class to exhibit their communication skills focusing on the the
following:
 Effective listening skills
 Language skills
 Verbal strategies 
 Non­verbal strategies
 Strengths of chairperson & panelists
 Weaknesses if any
 Possible solutions
Based on the talk show, write a reflection (500 words onwards) based on the points
above. Your reflection should be neatly typed using Times New Roman font size 12
with 1.5 line spacing.
Have the reflection complied with a cover page with all your names and ID clearly typed.

The following documents must also be attached with your assignment.
