INTRODUCTION

workplace. It reduced human errors and processing time, thus it can boost

productivity and resulted into high quality of product produce. In Information

System, Computerization is concerned about interrelating different but

independent transactions. This can result in a system with well-integrated

processes that can perform much faster and more accurate than a manual

system.

Enrollment is the process of entering and verifying data of student to

register on a particular school. Different interrelated processes build up

enrolment produces called Enrolment System (ES). ES are used particularly in

recording and retrieving Student‘s Information. Tracking Students Information is

also one feature of ES, in which the school can trace the Standing of a Student.

Verifying payments was also added to update or browse student’s billings.

Enrollment System is a good example of ac computed generated process.

This can lesson the workload and provide accurate information needed in school.

As a result, It will benefit not only the student but the administration as a whole.

Enrollment System is very essential in a school. In the case of Nyongani

School Inc. It is composed of manual system. Directress used Manual System in

recording and retrieving student’s payment. In fact, she does all the record

keeping just by using ballpen and columnar sheet. On the other hand, Registrar

department also used manual system as a way of recording and retrieving

student Information. Another department is accounting office that administers

student’s payment manually.

Above our observation, human interventions will highly involve in this type of

system. As a result, this may involve errors and redundancy of data resulting

troubles in organization.

Background of the study

Enrolment is an exciting day for every student in elementary, high school, or

colleges. Is the most expected activity after summer vacation.

But contrary to the expectations of the enrolees, enrolment has posed

problems and hassles because it has become tedious and taxing. Sometimes the

student’s leave it to their parents and other members of the family to enroll them.

The unsystematic procedure of school during enrolment is now dreaded by them.

Instead student enrolees have to stand and wait of finishing it in an hour or two,

sometimes students are made to come back the next day or even after a week

so that they can be officially enrolled.

Automated enrolment system is a system in which the computer plays a

major role and this of system is needed by every companies and institution

nowadays. This is the best way of storing and retrieving data on a server or hard

disk rather than using papers and file cabinets. This will help the institution

generates a quick and efficient data they need.

Research Aim

General Objective:

This study aims to the general objectives of the study is to develop of Automated

Enrollment System of Grade 11 Information and Communication Technology

Students of Lemery Colleges.

It aims the following;

Automated Enrollment System of Grade 11 Information and

Communication Technology Students of Lemery Colleges.

VPS and he can check his current account. He can also refer to the school

current tuition free rates.

Based on the research, a web0based enrolment system for Ven’tas

Parochial School(VPS) in Manila was developed to help its students enrol in a

more efficient way without the hassles of waiting long hours in filling out forms,

which sometimes become redundant, or to stand in line and pay at the cashier. It

is with the Web-based Enrolment System for VPS that this new style of

enrolment may be achieved. This new type of system offers its students new

options for enrolling at VPS. By logging on to VPS website, one can register and

enrol subject for a school year. With these, all the students are required to fill our

certain forms that do not take more than a few minutes to accomplish. The

system stores its records in the school database for future references.

The above literature and studies show that automated enrolment system

is much better than the manual processing. The studies stated that having a

database is important for saving students files. Systems of the related studies

stated that only authorized personnel can only access the system same in

proposed system where only admin, cashier and school registrar can access the

system. By this function it lessens errors particularly in creating the payment

modules. But there are differences between the related studies and proposed

system.

only LAN-Based. The proposed system is only for enrolling purposes and

payment modules are not like in some studies where they can compute students

grades.

However, the researchers also found differences from the studies and

local mentioned in this chapter to the system in terms to interface to be made

and also the programming language and software to be used in developing the

system. The researcher used a database to increase the efficiency of registration

procedures.
