DESCRIPTION OF THE LEARNER: The Learner is a 20 year old, male, Russian in race, has been travelling around Luzon, Philippines as a tourist, when they
arrived in Baguio City on a Sunday night, and had his breakfast at a certain fast food chain early morning after arrival. The patient felt abdominal pain
and had Diarrhea, had 4 counts of bowel movements early in the morning and 2 counts at daytime. Due to anxiousness he went to the hospital for
first treatment.

LEARNING NEED: The Possible Causes, and First management of Diarrhea and Vomiting
LEARNING DIAGNOSIS: Knowledge Deficit: The Possible Causes, and First management of Diarrhea and Vomiting related to lack of information
GOAL: The Patient will be able to know the Possible Causes, and First management of Diarrhea and Vomiting

TEACHING PLAN PROPER:

Dengue Hemorrhagic fever” after 20 minutes of
health teaching, the Patient will be able to:

1. Enumerate at least 5 causes of diarrhea ➢ (1)Bacterial Infection (2) Food ➢ One on One discussion; Power point
correctly intolerances (3)Parasites (4)reaction to presentation with handouts: 5 minutes
medicines (5)Intestinal Diseases

2. Identify the 2 main causes of Vomiting and ➢ (1)Acute Gastritis and (2) Central Causes ➢ One on One discussion; Power point
Enumerate at least 2 sub-causes correctly presentation with handouts: 5 minutes

3. Enumerate at least 3 management on ➢ (1)Clear Fluids (2) Increase fluid intake ➢ One on One discussion; Power point
Vomiting and Diarrhea upto 3L (3)Avoid irritants such as milk presentation with handouts: 5 minutes

4. Identify at least 2 signs when to go to the ➢ persistence of condition; impending ➢ One on One discussion; Power point
doctor for each of Diarrhea and vomiting dehydration, fever, pain in the abdomen, presentation with handouts: 5 minutes
black tarry stools
