Again! What are the different types of Soil?

What do you think keeps the loam soil moist? Water!

Very Good!!

Our topic today is all about The Uses of Water and


Where do we find them.

2. Motivation

Now Lets us Learn more about water by watching


this short video. “The Water” by sesame street!
What do you think is the video all about? Different uses of water!

There are 3 Kinds of Water

a. Ground Water
 Is found beneath the earth’s surface. It
comes from water that seeps into the
ground like: wells, springs, and boreholes.

(the teacher will ask what are the different ground


water present in their barangay and integrate the uses Wells, springs
of ground water)

b. Sea Water
 It is found in the seas and oceans. And
contains plenty of salt.

(the teacher will ask if they have seen a sea or ocean) Yes Sir!!
(The teacher will ask what are their experiences in the
Sea or ocean and integrate the uses of sea water) (the students will respond)

c. Surface Water
 Or also called Freshwater, it does not
contain salt. This is found in open but
small bodies of water like rivers, lakes,
creeks, ponds and falls.

3. Generalization

 What are the 3 sources of water? Groundwater, Surface water, Sea water

 What is the most important source of


water among the 3 groups? Groundwater!!

 Why do you think it is the most important? Because it is used in cooking, used for
drinking, it’s the safest source of water, etc…..
Valuing
 What are the sources of water supply in
our barangay? river, ponds, wells

 How can these help the farmers? it helps them water their plants

4. Application
(The teacher will give pictures of water sources to the
students)

From the given pictures on the board, arrange them


according to their group.
