1-Catalog Course Description.
This course is a study of artificial lift methods used to produce liquids (oil/water)
from wellbores. Methods covered include sucker rod (Reciprocating), electric
submersible pumping, gas lift, Progressive cavity pumping, hydraulic lift and plunger
lift Systems

2-Overall aims of the course.

The Main Goal of this course are:


 Describe theory of operations, main components, applications, Advantages
and disadvantages the main common Artificial lift methods and techniques.
 Familiarize students with ESP, beam pumping (SRP), progressive cavity
pumping (PCP) and Gas Lift (GL) systems selection and design theory.

 Design and select surface and subsurface components for Beam Pumping
(SRP) , ESP, PCP and gas lift systems
 Troubleshoot well problems related to production performance for the main
common artificial lift

performance
