Tarot
The Arcanum No.1 is "The Magus", that which Initiates, that which begins, it
is the One, the Unity, the Divine Spirit of each person, the Monad or the
Immortal Spark of every human being, of every creature. The One is the Mother
of all Unities, the One unfolds itself into the following Arcanum: the Priestess,
Arcanum No. 2.
It is easy to understand that every beginning is difficult, we have to work hard,
we need to sow in order to reap, this is why in the Arcanum No. 1 we find the
Unity of the Original Principle, The origin of every Unity comes from the
Arcanum No. 1 because everything begins with the No. 1.
The Unity becomes the origin of Duality, or of the Binary, 1 + 1 = 2, and finally
in this Unity is found the performing synthesis of the Ternary. The Unity, the
“1”, is the Divine Monad, the First Logos, the Father who is in secret, and each
one of us has his own individual Monad.
Arcanum No.1 is the Unity, the Principle of the Light, the Father, the World as a manifestation, the Human
Being as a living unity, complete within himself, the Foundation of Reason of all actions, the Synthesis of all,
the Initiation into the Mysteries and the power to decipher and to be served by them, the Volitional Power.
Arcanum No. 1 gives Triumph, but with struggles, due to Karma.
SYNTHESIS:
• This Arcanum, the Magus, represents the Man. It is the Masculine Principle.
• The No. 1 signifies that which starts, that which begins.
Tarot.
• The Unity is the performing synthesis of the Ternary.
• We cannot know anything about the Soul and Spirit when we do not know ourselves.
• The four conditions that are needed to be a Magus are the following:
o TO KNOW HOW TO SUFFER
o TO KNOW HOW TO BE SILENT
o TO KNOW HOW TO ABSTAIN
o TO KNOW HOW TO DIE
Tarot - Arcanum No. 2
The Arcanum No.2 is „the Priestess”, the Occult Science. The ineffable words
of the Goddess Neith have been sculpted on the resplendent walls of the Temple
of Wisdom with letters of gold: "I am she that has been, is, and will be,
and no mortal has lifted my veil."
In occultism it is said that No. 2 is the Dual manifestation of the Unity. When
the Unity unfolds, it gives birth to the Receptive and Productive Femininity in
all of Nature. It is obvious that the No. 2 is within the human organism and the
No. 1 is related to it. Willpower is related to the No. 1, and Imagination to the
No. 2. The Universal Principle of Life unfolds into the Eternal Feminine
Universal Principle, which is the Great Pralaya of the Universe, of the Cosmos,
the fertile bosom where everything is born and where everything returns.
The Hebrew letter Beth expresses the dualism of the two columns of the
Temple. The White, right column, Jachin, represents the Man, the Masculine
Principle, and the Black, left column, Boaz, represents the Woman, the
Feminine Principle.
In the human being, the Cosmic Mother assumes the form of the Serpent. There
are two serpents: the Tempting Serpent of Eden, which is the Goddess Kali, the
abominable Kundabuffer Organ; and there is the Bronze Serpent that cured the Israelites in the desert, the
Kundalini Serpent. These are the two Feminine Principles of the Universe, the Virgin and the Prostitute, the
Divine Mother or White Moon and the Black Moon referring to Astaroth, (Kali, the tenebrous aspect).
The No. 2 is vital; in the Temples of the Mysteries, Two Altars were never absent. One cannot pass into the
Temple without passing through the Two Columns where Two Guardians are always present. What would
the Great Life be like if the No. 2 did not exist? The Matripadma receives the Fohat, the Masculine ray, the
Holy Spirit, spouse of the Divine Mother, who becomes fecundated and the Universe appears.
What would be of life without the other principle? Before the dawn of the Mahamanvantara, the Cosmic Day,
nothing existed; the Gods were living within That which has no name, no form, no sound, no silence, nor
ears in order to perceive it. Arcanum No. 2 is the Thesis which presents the Antithesis. By means of this
Arcanum, the Matrix where all the images take form is made, is modeled. It is the Fountain which
accumulates the Waters from the Water-source. It is the Dual manifestation of the Unity. By unfolding itself,
the Unity gives origin to the Receptive and Productive Femininity in all of the Nature.
SYNTHESIS:
• Woman is the Athanor of Sexual Alchemy. The Human Being departed from Paradise through the Gates of
Eden, and Eden is precisely the "Sex";
• The Gate of Paradise is Sex. Woman is the gate.
• The „Kundalini” is the Sacred Fire of the Holy Spirit; it is the Pentecostal Fire; it is the Igneous "Serpent" of
our Magical Powers.
• Kundalini is enclosed in the Muladhara Chakra situated in the coccyx.
• The Arcanum A.Z.F., Sexual Magic or Maithuna, must only be practiced between husband and wife in
lawfully established homes.
• The practice of the Arcanum must only be performed once a day; if it is practiced twice a day, one falls into
negativity by violating the Magnetic Recuperative Pause.

Tarot - Arcanum No. 3
Written by Editor VOPUS
The Arcanum No. 3 is "The Empress", the Divine Light, the Light in itself; it is
the „Divine Mother”. It corresponds to that part of Genesis that says: "And God
Said: Let there Be Light and there was Light", starting from the first day of
creation.
It is also the number of the Third Logos that dominates all forms of creation, it
is the rhythm of the Creator. The Celestial Mother, in the material realm,
signifies Material Production, and in the spiritual realm, signifies Spiritual
Production.
In order to create, we need the 3 Primary Forces that come from above, from the Father and that exist in all
of creation:
1. POSITIVE FORCE
2. NEGATIVE FORCE
3. NEUTRAL FORCE
The Kabbalists state that the Soul has in reality 3 aspects:
The Arcanum A.Z.F. is the secret that transforms the Moon into a Sun and represents the 3 aspects: Positive,
Negative and Neutral. It is stated that the Third Arcanum is the modeler, it is clear that within Creation,
within Nature everything is modeled by means of the Verb.
We must comprehend that the cross with its 4 points symbolizes the 4 Cardinal
Points of the Earth: North, South, East and West. The 4 Ages: Gold, Silver,
Copper and Iron. The 4 Seasons of the year. The 4 Phases of the Moon. The 4
Paths: Science, Philosophy, Art and Religion. When we speak about the 4 Paths
we must comprehend that they are really one Path, this Path is the Straight and
Narrow Path of the Razor's Edge, the Path of the Revolution of the
Consciousness.
The No. 4 also represents the 4 Physical Elements and the 4 Elements of
Alchemy::
EARTH – SALT
FIRE – SULPHUR
WATER – MERCURY
AIR – AZOGUE
The ancient Alchemists said that the Sulphur must fecundate the Mercury of Secret Philosophy in order for
the Salt to be regenerated; in other words, the Fire must fecundate the Water in order for the Human Being
to be regenerated and Self-Realized.
In the Arcanum No. 4 we also find the secret of the Sphinx, and this Arcanum reminds us of the 4 Sacred
Animals of Sexual Alchemy:
The Arcanum No. 4 of the Tarot is the Holy and Mysterious Tetragrammaton. The Sacred name of the
Eternal One has 4 letters: IOD, HE, VAU, HE.
IOD – MAN – MAN
HE – WOMAN – WOMAN
VAU – PHALLUS – FIRE
HE – UTERUS – WATER
In the word IOD-HE-VAU-HE, we find the mystery of Tetragrammaton (Holy 4), the 4 Words, the 4
Elements, more profoundly we find our Being, the most complete Divinity. Within the Arcanum No. 4 there
are 4 Concordances. These are: Affirmation, Negation, Discussion and Seduction.
• Kabbalistic Sephiroth: „CHESED”
• Hebrew Letter: „DALETH”
• Transcendental Axiom: „Give blessing onto the labor of your hand, and place your heart into your
thoughts.”
• Forecasting Element: „It guarantees material gains, having the basis for higher enterprises, favorable
results on spent efforts troubled conditions in order to achieve them. Friends are simultaneously a help and
obstacle. Fate is proper and adverse at the same time”
SYNTHESIS:
• The Master is formed by Atman-Buddhi.
• Atman is the Intimate.
• Buddhi is the Divine Soul, meaning the Divine Consciousness of the Intimate.
• When a Logos wants to redeem a world, it emanates from Itself a celestial prototype formed by Atman-
Buddhi.
• The Logos is the Sephirothic Crown, the Individual Ray from which the Intimate Himself emanated. This ray
is triune; it is the Holy Trinity within each one of us.
• Thus, every Logos is a triune.
• The Father is Kether, the Ancient of Days.
• The Son is the Cosmic Christ within us.
• The Holy Spirit is the Divine Mother within us.
• The Mother carries a lamp in her hand. That lamp is the Intimate who burns within our heart.
Excerpts from the book “Tarot and Kabbalah” by Samael Aun Weor
The No. 5 is grandiose, sublime; it is the number of the rigour and of the Law; it
is the number of Mars and of war. Arcanum No. 5 of the Tarot indicates: the
Teaching, the Karma. It symbolizes the 5th Cycle, the 5th Race, the 5th Sun,
the 5 Tattvas, the 5 Fingers, the 5 Gospels, the 5 Senses, the 5 Cells of the brain
and ovaries, the 5 Aspects of the Divine Mother.
Arcanum No. 5 of the Tarot is Initiation, Demonstration, Teaching, Karmic
Law, Philosophy, Science, Art. We live in the Age of Samael, the 5th of the 7;
the return towards the Great Light has been initiated. Life has begun to flow
from the outer towards the inner; we are faced with the dilemma of To Be or Not
To Be; we need to define ourselves as Angels or Demons, Eagles or Reptiles and
to confront our own destiny.
The Hierarch of the Arcanum No. 5, the Jackal of the Jackals is the Lord of the
Archons of destiny, he is Anubis, the Jackal-headed God. The Temple of Anubis
is the Temple of the Lords of Karma. Anubis carries the books of Karma in the
Underworld. Each human being has his own book of negotiations.
In this Tribunal only the terror of Love and Justice rules. It is necessary for the
people to understand what the Sanskrit word "Karma" means. My friends, there
a Law which is called Karma, and it is relevant to assert that such a word means
in itself: Law of Action and Consequence. Obviously “there is no cause without an effect as there is no effect
without a cause”.
The Law of the Scale, the terrible Law of Karma, governs all that is created. Every cause converts itself into
an effect, and every effect converts itself into a cause. You must understand what the Law of Compensation
is. Everything that is done must be paid for, because there is no cause without an effect and no effect without
a cause. Karma is the Law of Compensation, not of vengeance.
There are some people who confuse this Cosmic Law with determinism, and even with fatalism, believing
that everything that happens to the human being in life is inexorably determined beforehand. It is true that
the actions of the human being are determined by Inheritance, Education and Environment. However, it is
also true that the human being has free will and can change his actions: refine his character, form superior
habits, overcome weaknesses, strengthen virtues etc.
“Karma is a medicine that is applied to us for our own good”; unfortunately, instead of bowing reverently
before the Eternal Living God, people protest, blaspheme, justify themselves, they foolishly excuse
themselves and wash their hands like Pilate. Karma is not modified with such protests; on the contrary, it
becomes harder and more severe.
In the "Book of the Dead", Chapter LIX, the triumphant NU says: "I am the Jackal of the Jackals, and I
draw air from the presence of the God of Light, and I convey it to the bounds of the Firmament and to the
bounds of the Earth, and to the frontiers of the outer most limits of the flight of the Neveh bird. Thus air is
given to these Young Divine Beings."
The Arcanum No. 5 is the Hierophant, the Law, the Rigour; it is the Flaming Pentagram, the Flaming Star,
the sign of Divine Omnipotence; this is the ineffable symbol of the Verb made flesh, the terrible Star of the
Magi. The Pentagram represents the Man; the Microcosmic Human Being who with open arms and open
legs is the Star of Five Points.
Arcanum No. 5 is Indication, Demonstration, Teaching, Karmic Law, Philosophy, Science, Art. It is the Law,
Rigour.
The Arcanum No. 6 is the Lover of the Tarot, signifying Realization. The
human being is found between Vice and Virtue, the Virgin and the Prostitute,
Urania-Venus and Medusa. One is found in the situation of having to choose
between one Path or the other. The Arcanum No. 6 is enchantment,
equilibrium, loving union of Man and Woman, as well as terrible struggle
between Love and Desire.
Here we find the mysteries of the Lingam-Yoni. It also represents interlinking.
In Arcanum No. 6 we find the struggle between the Two Ternaries; it is the
Affirmation of the Internal Christ and the Supreme Negation of Satan.
Arcanum No. 6 is the struggle between the Spirit and the Animal Beast. The No.
6 represents the struggle between God and Devil. This Arcanum is expressed by
the Seal of Solomon. The upper triangle represents Kether, Chokmah and
Binah, the resplendent Dragon of Wisdom (Father, Son and Holy Spirit); the
lower triangle represents the Three Traitors who are the antithesis of the Divine
Triad, they are the Demons of Desire, of the Mind, and of the Evil Will, who
betray the Internal Christ from moment to moment.
They represent the basis of the Ego (Judas, Caiaphas and Pilate); this lower
triangle is the Black Dragon. The upper triangle in the Seal of Solomon represents the Immortal Eternal
Triad.
The lower triangle represents the Three Traitors who lie within us:
1. The Demon of Desire
2. The Demon of Mind
3. The Demon of Evil Will.
These are the Three Evil Friends of Job. The three assassins of Hiram Abiff:
• JUDAS, CAIAPHAS, PILATE: CHRISTIAN SYMBOLISM
• APOPI, HAI, NEBT: EGYPTIAN SYMBOLISM
• SEBAL, ORTELUK, STOKIN: MASONIC SYMBOLISM.
These Three Traitors live within the Mind, they are within ourselves. Let us remember that Dante represents
Lucifer in the centre of the Earth, having three mouths, and in each one of his mouths there is a traitor. The
Bible mentions these Three Traitors in the Apocalypse of Saint John, (16:13-14): "And I saw three frog-like
Unclean Spirits coming out of the mouth of the Dragon, and out of the mouth of the Beast and out of the
mouth of the False Prophet." These frog-like Three Spirits are the Traitors that betray the Internal Christ
from moment to moment and constitute the foundation of the re-incarnating Ego, the "Psychological I", the
Satan which must be dissolved in order to incarnate the Internal Christ.
In the The Seal of Solomon, the Christmas Star is the perfect symbol of the Central Sun (the Cosmic
Christ, the Perfect Multiple Unity). The Star of Bethlehem is the Seal of Solomon. The 6 points of the Star are
Masculine. The 6 outer obtuse angles that exist between the points are Feminine (in synthesis, this Star has
12 Rays).
6 are masculine, 6 are feminine. The mysteries of the Arcanum A.Z.F. (the Sexual Magic) are summarized
and synthesized in them. All of the Zodiacal Measurements are summarized within the Seal of Solomon; the
12 Rays of the brilliant Star crystallize by means of the Alchemy in the 12 Zodiacal Constellations. The inner
relations that exist between the Zodiac and the invincible Central Sun are found written in the Seal of
Solomon.
The Sexual Genesis of the Zodiac is represented in the Seal of Solomon. The V.M. of Light, Hilarius IX,
when speaking of the brilliant Star, said: "It is the basic form of all crystallizations and the schematic model
of all flourishments. Its two triangles that join or separate Love, are the shuttles by means of which the
ineffable mystery of the Eternal Life is woven and unwoven. Above, the Most Holy Eternity that acts as
Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Below, its counterpart with the power that governs, the power that liberates
and the power that executes."
"I am the resplendent morning Star", exclaimed John, the well-beloved of Christ, when receiving the
Venustic Initiation from Christ’s hands.
"And thus, each time the Eternal Geometrician fixes his attention upon one point of space, from that point
arises the glorious Star announcing the birth of a new State of Consciousness, the Archetype of a Being, a
globe, a star, a Sun." (Fourth message of the Avatar Ashrama.)
• Kabbalistic Sephiroth: „TIPHERETH”
• Hebrew Letter: „VAV”
• Transcendental Axiom: „Oh Lord, you give me labor, and fortitude with it.”
• Forecasting Element: "Privilege and obligations in the relations between the sexes. Antagonism of
forces. Separations and divorces. Possession of that which is pursued and ardent desires which are
fulfilled, some of them satisfy and others disappoint."
SYNTHESIS:
• We have entered the world of Will and Love.
• We must steal the Fire from the Devil in order to enter into the amphitheatre of Cosmic Science.
• The Lover must steal the Light from the Darkness.
• The man must intensely practice Sexual Magic with the woman.
• The Flaming Sword of Eden must be re-conquered.
• Results always speak for themselves; good intentions are worthless if the facts are disastrous.
Excerpts from the book “Tarot and Kabbalah” by Samael Aun Weor
The Arcanum No. 7 represents magical power in all its strength, the Holy
Seven is the Sanctum Regnum of Sacred Magic, of High Esoteric Magic in
Kabbalah, the Chariot of War.
The Arcanum No. 7 is the Chariot of War that the Monad has created in order
to be able to act in this world, having power to work in this field of life. It is the
already realized Monad, manifesting itself through the 7 Bodies.
From another perspective, the No. 7 means struggles, battles, difficulties;
however, despite all the battles, it is always victorious.
The Arcanum No. 7 represents the 7 Notes of the Lyre of Orpheus, the 7 musical
Notes, the 7 Colors of the solar prism, the 7 Planets, the 7 Vices that we must
transmute into the 7 Virtues, the 7 Sidereal Genii, the 7 Bodies, the 7
Dimensions, the 7 Degrees of the Power of the Fire, the 7 Secret Words that
were spoken by the Solar Logos (of Calvary), etc.
The No. 7 is the Intimate, our Real Being, assisted by all of the Elemental Forces
of the Nature. Nature is a great living organism; in a final synthesis this great
machine is controlled by Elemental Forces. The Human Being has Seven Bodies,
each body has its Spinal Medulla and its Sacred Serpent.
The Arcanum No. 7 "Triumph" is attained through great struggles and bitterness, this is seen in the Seven
Capital Sins that we must transmute into Seven Virtues: the transmutation of the 7 Inferior Metals into Pure
Gold.
The Governors of the Seven Planets are:
• GABRIEL - MOON
• RAPHAEL - MERCURY
• URIEL - VENUS
• MICHAEL - SUN
• SAMAEL - MARS
• ZACHARIEL - JUPITER
• ORIFIEL - SATURN
Arcanum No. 7 is Struggle, Battle, Difficulties. The Warrior must learn to use the Staff and the
Sword, thus he will attain the Great Victory. Our device is Thelema (Willpower).
• Kabbalistic Sephiroth: „NETZACH”
• Hebrew Letter: „ZAIN”
• Transcendental Axiom: „When science shall enter into your heart and wisdom shall be sweet to your
soul, ask and it shall be granted to you.”
• Forecasting Element: "It guarantees magnetic power, appropriate understanding (union of intellect
and intuition), justice and reparations, honor and dishonor, achievement of that which is pursued with
determination, satisfactions and disappointments."
SYNTHESIS:
• The "Pater Noster" (Lord’s Prayer) is the most perfect prayer. The Lord’s Prayer with its Seven Esoteric
Petitions is one of the magical prayers. One has to meditate upon each petition.
• Whoever wants to become a Magus must attain the Sword.
• The Sword is the Kundalini. The Sword is the Fire of the Holy Spirit.
• One has to work with the Arcanum A.Z.F. in order to attain the Sword. The struggle is terrible. The warrior
can free himself from the Four Bodies of Sin only by means of the Arcanum A.Z.F.
• We gain nothing by filling our heads with theories.
• It is better to love a good woman and practice Sexual Magic with her daily, rather than to waste time with
polemics, intellectualism and theories.
• In this manner we acquire the Sword of Kundalini and we awaken all of our Magical Powers so as to enter
through the gates of the Triumphant City.
