a. Discrete manufacturing – Order based and u will get the raw material from finished goods.
b. Process Industry- Order based but you will never get the raw materials from finshed product in the
initial state of position.
c. Repetitive Manufacturing industry – Not order dependent, and very raare changes in production
line.

Master Data of SAP PP

1) Material Master – Transaction Code – MM01 (Create), MM02(Edit), MM03(Display)


Material Types:

i) ROH- RAW Material – Procured from outside


j) HALB- Semi Finished Material- Either Procured form outside or can be manufactured in house. But It will
consumed in – house also.
k) FERT- Finished Material- Manufactured in house but it will sell to certain customer.
