Measurement principle:
The measurement principle of the

ACCURA gauges is optical triangula-
tion. The principle is based on a laser
light that is emitted on an object in a
predefined measurement range.
The detector used, is a CCD array,
which consists of light sensitive cells
(pixels).
When the light causes a reflection on
the measurement object, some pixels
on the CCD array are activated via a
lens system.
Depending on which pixels are
activated the distance to the object
can be calculated.

Accura C series
– when you need flexibility

Accura C Series
are distance gauges for the applications where
you need flexibility to customise the sensor
according to the application.
Each sensor can be made according to the
customers plant layout.
The stand-off distance and the measurement
range are designed according of the require-
ments of your application.
There are many different ways of making the
gauge communicate to a PLC, PC or an upper
level system.
The C version is equipped with digital RS-232C
and CAN-bus interface as standard.
The CAN-bus enables the use of sensors in
multi-sensor applications.
There are 2 models in the C series: Accura 24C
and Accura 35C.

Accura H series
– when you have
a hot application

Accura H series
are specially made for measure-
ment in very severe environment
such as Steel Mills. One of the
special properties is the ability to
measure on very hot materials
(up to 1300º C depending on
material).
The Accura H is a cost effective
Distance meter for a variety of
applications in your plant.
Accura H series have all the
features you can find in
the Accura C series.
Accessories Cooling Box Air
Cooling Box in stainless steel
for environmental protection of
the sensors.
The cooling box is used where
water is not available.
To achieve the best results,
a side channel blower with high
volume of air but low pressure
is recommended.

Cooling Box Water

For applications where the measurement object is hot. The dual
layer stainless steel case provides you with effective cooling
for the most demanding applications. Typical installations are
in hot steel mills; hot aluminium mills and other applications
where the temperature at the measuring location requires
protection of the sensor.
The cooling box use water and air to cool and protect the
sensor. The Cooling Box is also equipped with a rail system
for easy service and removal of the sensor.

Cooling End Cap
When the ambient tem-
perature exceeds 40º C,
one of the most efficient
ways to protect the
sensor electronics is to
use the Cooling End Cap.
The Cooling End Cap is
an active cooling system.
(Peltier system).

Heating End Cap

As the Cooling End Cap but for
heating up the sensor.
This is done to give the sensor
a constant temperature. Mainly for Large Display.
outdoor applications. An external Liquid Crystal
Display with 100mm
digits. It can be used in
very rough environment
and at long distances.
The visibility of digits is
extremely high.
 Air Knifes
These useful nozzles
helps to keep the
transmitter and receiver
windows clean from
dirt and dust.
They are used together
with compressed air
and are easy to install
on the sensor.

Mounting Bracket
Supplied with all sensors.
This 3-point bracket
makes installation easier.

Windows® based
Set-Up software.
To make a Set-Up of

with a communication
