Chapter 1
Introduction:

Is a mass-produced food that is prepared and served very quickly. The

food is typically less nutitionaly valuable compared to the food and dishes

(Emma,2017).https://7esl.com

The term "fast food" generally refers to food that people intended to

consume quickly, either on or off site. There is plenty for well researched evidence

demonstrating the various negative health effects of eating and overeating fast food,in

both the short and long term (Jagadish,2015).

Eating is the most past time doings of many people nowadays, they

love eat too much until their hunger we're/was gone. If they are bored to cook they

call through different fast food chain restaurants for delivery or they are just go to

restaurants to eat.

Kinds of Fastfood:

There are many kinds of Fastfood, there are humburger, french

fries, cheese burger, sandwich and buscuits. What will one place have in terms of fast

food types, depends on what grow their, what of ingredients can be obtained and what

local people like(Emma,2017).

Background of the study:

Regular intake of Fastfood leads to long term health problems such as

obesity. Accompanying emotional and selfsteem problems and chronic illnesses. Lack
of vitamind such as A&C, and minerals such as calcuim and magnesium, encourage
the development of deficiency diseases. This can also lead to the poor academic
performance of the students high sugar crashes and poor concentrations level make it
difficult to accompanish task's which need extended periods of focused attention.
Blood sugar fluctuations can also results on mood swings and lack of illness lowering
classroom participation (Thomas,2012).

Frequent consumption of Fastfood is one of the main reasons for rising

trends of overweight and obesity, cardiovascular disease, two type of diabetes and
other metabolic abnormalities (Azizi,2013)

In the recent years,an increasing globally popularity have been

developed regarding the fast foods and take away foods marketing. Out of home
meals and Fastfoods are rich in highly processed meat and refined
carbohydrate, soduim, total fat, saturated and trans fatty acids, cholesterol, and poor in
essentail nutrients and dietary fibers(Schoder,Futo,Covas,2014).

Statement of the problem:

This study aims to determine the Effects of Fastfoods in the Health

Among grade 11 students in DMNHS.
Specifically, it sought to answer the following question:
1.What are the effects of fast food in the health among grade 11 Tvl students?
2.How does effect fast food in the health of grade 11 Tvl students?
3.What is the basis of eating fastfood of Grade 11 Tvl student ?

Definition of terms:
1.Dolores macasaet national High School- this is the locale of the study
2.Effect- the main topic of the study.
Peer infunce-can play a role in food choices and references.
3.Fast food-refers to to food that people intended to consume quickly, either on or off
site.
4.Grade 11- Are the respondents of the study.
5.Parental influence- Parent are the influencer to eat fast food to the adolescent.
6.Senior High School- the target respondents of the study that can help too.
7.TechnicalVocationalLivelihood-this is the strand that we can help in making
research.

Significance of the study:

The basic premise of this study is to aware in the students of how can
effect of Fastfoods in their health of TVL grade 11 students in Dolores Macasaet
National High School in Candelaria Quezon Province and to propose a discussion
program that will be beneficial to the following.
Student:
This study will benefit the students for it will give awareness of the
Effects of Fastfoods in their health and the students are be aware on the Fastfoods can
do to them.
Teachers:
They will be able to understand the chances of the behavior, perception
inlife of the students that were engage teo the Effects of Fastfoods. They can easily
cope up to the students attitude.
Parents:
This research would also be helpful to the parents for it will make them
aware about the Effects of Fastfoods to the people.
Future Researchers:
This might encourage them to conduct future studies in the insight on
the Effects of Fastfoods in the Health of grade 11 students in Dolores Macasaet senior
High School using other variable.
E
Scope and Delimitation:
This focus on the Effects of Fastfoods in the Health of 55 grade 11
TVL students in Dolores Macasaet senior High School. School year 2019-2020 who
will represent the population. This study will not cover other problems that not within
the scope of this research. The study would be done through the utilization of
questionnaire to the students of a survey and reference. By this strategy the
Researchers will be able to determine the Effects of Fastfoods in the Health grade 11
TVL students.

CHAPTER II
Review of Related Liteature

Fastfood costs relatively little and taste good, but the negative effects
on phsical healt lost much longer than that these immediate(Clarke,2016).

Further, they are typically served in the large portions and contain high
levels of energy ,sugar and salt, along with long levels of micronutrients and
fiber(Norris S A,2009).

Parental Influence:
Parents shape their children's eating environments in a variety of ways;
through the choice of am infant feeding method,by the foods they make available and
accessible,by direct modeling influences,by the extent of media exposure in the
home, and by the way they interact with children in the eating context. Parents'feeding
practices can exert a major influence on children's food preferences and on developing
control of children's food intake(Birch & Fisher,1998).

Parental prompts to eat were positively associated with time spent

eating and the degree of overweight in children. It wae found that the sequencing of
parental prompts to eat were preceded by food refusals by the child and followed by
the child eating. This finding suggests that parental promps to eat may act to oppoee
children's own attempte ti control the amount consumed food and promote
consumption within a meal(Birch & Fisher,1998).

Peer Influence:
During adolescence when the peer acceptance to becomes of critical
importance to teens, social pressures can play a major role om eating behaviors. While
results from research studies have been inconsistent, several models have been
proposed to explain the role of peer influence on adolescent eating behavior. Just as
peer influences can alter youth behavior, so can parental and familial influences. The
enviromment in which a child grows up is strongly influenced by the family
(Birch & Fisher,1998).

Conceptual Framework
The focus of this study was undertaken by the following conceptual framework

shown in figure 1 which has a three part process: the input, process and output

Input – This includes the socio-demographic profile of the students, the background of the study

in the effects of fastfood.

.Process – In the research process, this includes determining the effects of fastfood in the health.
.Output – This study would identify the effects of fastfood in the health of grade 11 students of

Dolores Macasaet National High school.

Hypothesis

Taking the variables into mind, multiple hypotheses were made. Each hypothesis

tackles a different set of variables yet very similar. Each of them shall be tested at 0.05

level of significance.

H0 : There is no significant difference between the respondents when classified

according to gender.
CHAPTER III

In this chapter the researcher discussed the methodology and the procedure

engaged in the study. The following part includes the research design uses in the conduct of the

study, the locale, the participants, procedure followed and statistical tool.

RESEARCH DESIGN

In these nationally representative household population surveys, the

primarily hypothesis was that subjects who consumed food obtained at fastfood

restaurants, compared with those who did not, would exhibit higher total energy intake and

poorer diet quality over the dwy studied. Multiple regression was used to control for

potentially confounding demographic,socioeconomic,and anthropometric covariates.

RESEARCH LOCALE

The study was conducted in Dolores Macasaet National High School (DMNSH)

senior high new building, Villa Katrina SUDB. Pahinga Norte Candelaria Quezon. Utilizing every

technology and books they can for better teaching for each students. There are 2story building for

the junior high school. The new building and the old building formerly called the main building

were in the different year levels are distributed the new building was composed of the grades 9 10

and some the grade 11, 12 students while the old building had the all grade 7 and 8. Recently in
2012 variety of schools in Candelaria Quezon Implemented the K-12 program which made this

years batch of Grade 10 students, the sixth batch to enter the senior high school next year.

RESPONDENTS

In this study the researcher will use simple random sampling method in grade 11

TVL students as the respondents. Respondents are student of DOLORES MACASAET

NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL ,where they will be evaluated using the survey question.

Research Instrument

A poll was made by the specialists. The scientists utilized the elucidating

review system to accumulate information and break down the data and will appropriate it

to every segment in the Grade 11 understudies. Related inquiries were utilized as a part

of request to get the data required for the study. The survey had three sections which had

6 questions for every component specifically: identity, aptitude and parental impact.

Population, Sample size and sampling technique

The data collection of this research was conducted at Dolores Macasaet Natinal High School in

the shool year 2019-2020. The researchers respndents are the Grade 11 Tvl Senior high school

students that has a total 55 in population. The researchers used solving formula to get the proper

size and the final smpale size is Tvl respondents at senior high school students.

n=n/1 + Ne^2

n=55/1 + 55(.05)^2

n=55/1 + 55(.0025)

n=55/1+.1375
n=55/.1375

n=7.5625
